Knee Strengthening Exercises To Prevent Knee Pain

How To Treat Patellar Tendinopathy (Jumper’s Knee) & Quadriceps Tendinopathy
---------------------------------------
If you’re asking yourself ‘what’s the cause of my knee pain?’ or ‘what kind of knee pain do I have?’ (so that you can look up solutions to your knee pain on YouTube) the position of your knee pain will tell you a lot.

THE MOST COMMON KNEE PAIN TYPES?
Knee pain during running (or actually kneecap pain while running) is usually just that… Runner’s Knee (PATELLOFEMORAL PAIN SYNDROME, or it’s old name: Chondromalacia Patella) If you get knee pain while cycling it will often be the same thing. Same with knee pain with stairs.

Knee pain while squatting could be Runner’s Knee, but if you get pain in the tendon below the kneecap, it’s more likely to be Patellar Tendonitis or Jumper’s Knee.

Meniscus Tears will give you pain on the inside of the knee that is a localised pain, can feel as if it gets stuck, or feel like it’s going to give way, and often it’s hard to fully straighten or fully bend your knee.

Knee pain on the outside of the knee is usually Iliotibial Band Syndrome

ALSO COVERED:
Infrapatellar Fat Pad Syndrome (Hoffa's Syndrome)
Osgood-Schlatter Disease
Medial Collateral Ligament Tear
Iliotibial Band Syndrome
Osteoarthritic Knee Pain
Pes Anserine Bursitis.
Quadriceps Tendinopathy
Popliteus Strain
Baker’s Cyst
ACL Or PCL Tear/Rupture

Thank you for actually showing the Knee and locations. Most videos show pictures or diagrams, and explanations that are hard to relate to for the average person. Your video helps quickly diagnose the possible issue with a REAL Knee!

The only video that has explained Pes Anserine Bursitis. Nowhere have I been able to find out what that pain is, not even from specialists. Thank you so much.

I had Osgood-Schlatter Disease as a kid, now 40 years later after the shutdown and loss of leg strength I have knee pain in the same knee from adolescence. Your video helped a lot. Thanks.

Excellent video.
Very descriptive yet concise.
I found it to be just the right amount of detail to help people determine the kind of pain they may be experiencing.

Omg .
You are amazing at explaining all the knee pains.
I've done every injury to both of my knees
From breaking my knee, ACL, PCL in both knees smashing my knee cap you name it I've had it.
I've had loads of surgery and years of physio over the years this mostly to sport and some silly moments in my life.
I just trying to stop the pain and how not to aggravate my knees, shopping trolleys after worst and shiny floors as well as high heels your small adjustments makes a massive difference
I think how you explained the pain in the knee has been very helpful and more of it should be in doctors surgeries to help patients
Thank you and keep up the good work

Omgosh THANK YOU! I have a Meniscus tear!!! Definitely! You described it exactly! I don’t want to pay for an MRI, because I live in the States and Healthcare is outrageous. I’m going to try to google to see if there’s anything I can do to help it and not make it worse.

Had a patella dislocation around October last year during training. Got back to training around February, and it wasn't untill recently that I've felt the area above my kneecap hurt while doing everyday things like walking, bending my knees and climbing up stairs. It's good that there are people in the world willing to make a short video on this type of things. Stay Blessed ❤

One of my kneecaps ( just that bone) has been crushed, no surgery available, I was hoping a similar injury might be addressed. Thank you for helping those you could / my prayers go out for everyone else, too💞

Great video, thanks! There are so many videos out there on how to treat specific kinds of knee pain, but this is the only clear one I've found to help diagnose which kind of pain I have in the first place. Invaluable!

Found your videos very informative. I have knee pain around the knee cap and back. Can't straighten it without killing me. Had x rays and doing pt after working 10 to 11hours a day, sometimes 7 days and still hurts ! Thank you for at least showing me what it could be! Much appreciated from Spokane, Washington ! Oh and I go up and down stairs

Great video! Strangely I don't have any knee pain during normal everyday activities, but when I don't get enough sleep I *always* have pain in my left knee like with patellar tendonitis...
