Most stores run the same specials every six weeks. Plan your menu according to that only buy what’s on sale. And use coupons if you can… that’s what I do. I don’t go out to eat unless I have company and they take me out to eat. I cook, I freeze the leftovers ..my belly is full and I am very happy

Even going through the drive-through at TACO BELL can easily cost $12 for one person now. 🥺

All the Aldi stores in our area have remodeled and upgraded in recent years and are still the best place to shop. Aldi fan here for 35 years!!

We do majority of our shopping at Aldi. We go to Walmart for the things we can’t find at our local Aldi. And we go to Sam’s Club for the things we know we eat on a very regular basis and consume a lot of.

Aldi has never impressed me, but I don't think many people eat like we do. Prepackaged foods are not what we get. Walmart is where we go and we make our meals from scratch with whole foods. We literally never go out to eat. Never. But I also shop for items that don't contain processed food or gluten or refined sugar or much dairy and that's hard to find when you're out. But my home meals and treats are delicious and the whole family is happy. This has just been my mindset for so many years that it's become our normal. My husband has been in school forever and he's got 2-3 more years of residency, so maybe in 5 years I'll have a different opinion.

When I was young my parents and grands were always having and attending dinner parties.

They might host once a week or twice per month and then twice a week they'd attend... it was a great way to stay connected with friends regularly and every household picked a night to provide supper, family style.

So once or twice a week would go out to their house to ear without spending.

Stews casseroles... it didn't have to be fancy.

My mom helped organize a summer block party once a month and everybody would bring something... one dad would grille the hot dogs & hamburgers... one mom would bring salad another would bring potatoes. A different family would bring drinks and chips... the kids would recycle old boxes to make soapbox cars or old clothes to make costumes and we'dhave creativity contests... we'd allconeout on the block while somebody played music and chill together. It was so fun! Weloonedforward to those and they gotbig necauseeveryonebegan i viti gother friends from off the block. Lol🎉😂❤ they had to bring their own food though.

Made it 12 days without take out! Huge for me. Making it a challenge was fun but this freezing cold Friday after a long week got me. Now the goal will be to make sure we aren't weekend warriors and get back on track.

I buy at Walmart on line, it allows me to compare prices of similar items, I can add or remove items and see the exact amount Im spending, I only buy whats really necessary while I check what I have or not at home, and I avoid temptations, its free, they place the purchase in my trunk, I don't have to spend 3 hours and carry heavy items. It has worked for me so much! I used to go for 2 things and ended up with full cart of "just in case" items. Not anymore

I have TWO Aldis within 1 mile of my apartment, and they are both pretty nice. Great produce. I don’t get everything I need there, but you can get a lot!

Love Trader Joe's for a lot of items. I will Never support Walmart, they treat their employees awful.

I shop Aldi and we have a couple discount grocery stores near us and some things are close to expired. Most of the items there are also some of the same food that the big food shelves give out in our area.

When I work for grocery outlet. I went to every grocery store in the area to buy a specific cart. Of items, Walmart was the highest.
