By following Dr. Cho’s advice closely, I have dropped my LDL from 185 to 64 in two months without medication at all. Dr. Cho, thank you from bottom of my heart. ❤

This podcast should be prescribed by doctors, she is amazing and was part of the intermittent treatment of statins study at Cleveland. Commonsense advice and relatable.

I am glad to see a allopathic doctor talk about diet. Most allopathic doctors just write a prescription cuz they really don't know anything about how the diet and how food affects the body. I'm very happy to see the head of this department talkin about diet. There's Hope for the world.❤❤

I stopped eating all dairy products, and my cholesterol dropped like a rock right into the 'normal' zone!
And as an unexpected bonus, my seasonal allergies disappeared!
Dump dairy!!

I really like Dr. Leslie Cho, what she said is easy to understand, very knowledgeable, and makes sense. Best of all she understands how people struggle..to do of easily said than done. Like..1lb a week losing weight is so encouraging more than just random saying they need to lose more weight or are too fat. I, myself 70 yrs old weight 115 lbs, but I always have a high cholesterol problem. Now I listen to Dr. Leslie Cho I've learned so much about it and will try to use her method to lower my cholesterol and hope I can keep it up:)) Thanks.

If your cholesterol is high on the lab test and you take steps to lower it with food and exercise, how long should the patient wait before testing again? 3 months? 6 months? Thank you.

I am 5’2” have never weighed more than 102 unless I was pregnant and have been highly athletic most of my life. I am genetically predisposed to high cholesterol . MMy current cholesterol is 280 down from over 300. I already have heart blockage but my heart test last month was way better than anyone expected. I am still fit at any age and as a senior with high cholesterol my heart test on a treadmill even got my technicians excited when they saw how great I did. I was literally running on the treadmill even though I had been admitted to the hospital the day before for chest pain. I take my statin faithfully every night ( our bodies make cholesterol while we sleep so it’s better to take it at night.) I am trusting that my memory issues will improve as my cholesterol level gets under control. I dislike taking statin, but I dislike thinking of my lifespan being shortened even more. I plan on seeing my great- grandchildren one day. I already have 3 granddaughters and 1 will graduate from high school in a few years 🎉Life is good and grateful for all the opportunities available for love and happiness and access to good medical providers.

Best information i have heard. My dr tried vit b for me but it really did not lower my chol.
Now on zetia generic version. Have not had a chol retest yet. So we shall see.
I learned that triglycerides can be lowered easier the cholesterol. Stop eating pretzels, cookies, crackers, breads.
I do wonder... if cholesterol goes up as we age, why do we not have "scaled levrls" for aging? Meaning, slightly elevated may not be sn issue as we age. However slightly elevated for those who are younger or even pre-menopausal is more problematic. Hope someone answers that for us.
