Is standing for a while difficult? 🫤

You’re not alone! Stiffness or pain in hips, knees, ankles and/or back can be limiting especially when you’re in one position.

Jane, a longtime member of Adventurers for Life, came to visit Salt Lake City on her own hiking adventure and of course when we met up we had to take a reel! 👀

She’s been dealing with knee osteoarthritis and went from limping to hiking with lots of hard work and consistency in strengthening the right muscles, improving balance and mobility ✅

I asked her what some of her go to movements are when she starts to feel stiffness and these were some she mentioned! I added the balance one as balance can be very powerful especially for the core, hips, knees and feet 🙌🏼

If you’re standing and trying to be inconspicuous, you don’t have to do the arm swing 😅

Frequent movement can really help to keep pain and stiffness at bay!

My right knee gets stiff when I sit too long. I had torn meniscus surgery 22 years ago.

Both joints hurt to get up and stand for periods of time. And if up to long they get stiff an numbish .
