I don't suppress my emotions but I ignore them also sometimes ignore my mind. Works wonders. Mind and emotions align with what you are doing after a while.

I find spirituality/philosophy helps a lot in handling the emotions.
Accepting the past helped me to reduce the emotional burden by 50% . Even the memories trigger emotions .

I have realised something that I have always tried to suppress my emotions so that people can feel I'm strong enough to handle things.. I have suppressed my emotions so much that I can't sense my own feelings also..like when something bad happens I don't cry instantly, I remember that day and sob almost everyday..I can't decide what I need and what I don't!!

Hello doc.
I am 24. Cleared upsc prelims in my 3rd attempt(2024).But after preparing one month for mains it has become a burden for me.Whenever I tried to study for mains it felt suffocating.I was unable to crame data, constitution article, scholars name etc. One day I decided to get out of this and find other direction.There is no pressure on me from my parents' side.

Although now I am not preparing for upsc mains exam but still feel guilty to not study hard. Now I think that I was so weak mentally to overcome my fears.

So confused.😔

I have also learned a practice which is quite effective. Whenever you feel an intense emotion just question it why are you feeling this way and keep questioning, this will greatly reduce the intensity of the emotion and you’ll be better able to control it.

Whenever I have any emotion or stress I just see the root cause and start finding the solution rather than allowing that emotion dominates me. Every problem has a solution.

Yes!! Sometimes hard times indeed make you the strongest..
Accepting and maintaining yourself at that point is very important.
It's not just advice
It's just that I am coping with it myself...hope so I acknowledge understand and take care of myself, you too😊💕
