What’s your average step count and what are some ‘hacks’ you use to increase your steps? Comment below!

When I lived in Macedonia, I unknowingly walked 15-20k steps a day just to and from work. I didn’t give it much thought. I moved back to the US and suddenly gained 30 lbs. I could not understand why. Until this year when I started using a step counter app, I realized I am walking 2-3k steps here! No wonder!!!! 😵😬

Rescuing a cattle dog or cattle dog mix is a great way to hit 15k daily. They’re popular dogs because their cute and smaller but should only be owned by experienced dog owners so a bunch of them wind up in shelters. Great dogs if you can get them enough exercise. Not all breeds can handle 15k daily but they sure as hell can. And you’ve made a friend and saved a life.

It absolutely tones your legs - I was SHOCKED how much better they looked & this was after years lf HIIT & running had me convinced this was "just how my body looked"....wrong!

A mistake I made with steps for years was doing 15-20K in two long walks per day. Eventually, I grew to hate walking, and it felt like a grind.

A game changer was doing walking snacks spread out over the whole day. Now it's 20 min early AM, then a few 30's, and some 15's in the afternoon/evening after I lift at the gym. I still average 15-20K every single day, but it's more enjoyable.

Doing more frequent short walks has made me a lot more active over the whole day. So my energy is a lot more stable, and even my digestion is a lot better. Plus, 15-30 min walks are not a grind mentally like doing really long treks are day after day.

Ive been hitting 10k+ steps every day on average and its helped me so much with my anxiety, depression etc. It also helps me tire mysef before bed because I had insomnia. When in lockdown it was easier to just walk around, but now that im at work (sitting at a desk), its been harder.
To get those extra steps in, ive been walking home from work instead of driving / walking to & from the gym.
Wow free treadmill?! Amazing!
I love your videos girl!

I have been hitting 10k steps on average for the last year. I work from home so I made a tread desk and walk during my meetings or when its nice outside I will walk after work as well. I think breaking the walks up to give your body rest if you are not used to it helps also. Everyone should start with a low goal and hit that until it becomes easy then increase your step count so you are not over doing it. I started with 5k and gradually moved up from there and now I get somewhere between 10-15k a day.

I'm averaging 11, 000 a day and I usually clean my house first by picking up one item and putting it away same with laundry I fold one item and walk to put it away until it's all done if I have the time for it that can really give you steps! Other days I'll walk around my house for atleast 5-6 thousand steps then use the rest of the day to get my other few thousand doing normal tasks. I can tell a big difference in the way I feel when I walk 4 thousand and when I walk 10 thousand or more!

I don't count steps. I do 30 minutes on a treadmill 4 times per week increasing the incline 3-6-9-12%. After that, I walk on my driveway for an hour and then another hour in the evening. On days I don't use the treadmill, I just add another 1/2 hour to the driveway hour walk.In addition, I also ride my stationary bicycle for 30 minutes daily. Wearing ear buds listening to favorite music and/or watching videos while on the treadmill help to get me through the workouts. Thanks for the video. Lots of good points.

I wanted to hit 10k steps every day so I quit my job and found a physical one. I'm a tour guide in a cave and we walk 3k steps every tour and do a minimum of 4 tours every day we work and my legs and thighs look FANTASTIC but I have a hard time losing tummy weight. Starting keto maybe soon? Any tips from ANYONE will help lots!

Hey Laura I just see you for the first time and I like you and how you break it down. I just started on Sunday a 7.5 mile loop from my house. My little hack is only walking 3.25 miles from my house and then realize oh crap 💩 lol now I gotta walk 3.25 miles back. 😀

I have done the high-intensity cardio workouts mostly video forms like beach bodies transform 20 or p90x3 etc, but they are pretty hard and work well but are not good for adherence in the long run. But walking a lot at least 10k steps daily is a good way to burn a decent amount of calories without burnout and without dreading your exercise time.
