@NishofAllThings What’s your current steps goal? Any tips and tricks to making it easier to get to?

I got myself a walking pad a few months ago and I can absolutely confirm that this thing is a game changer! I am losing fat and even gaining a bit muscle in the legs. I got myself a light weighted jacked today just so I can make up for the lost kilogramms of fat.

I walk 10.000 steps a day since 2 months, and three days ago I went up to 15.000 - I feel much more tired with this 5.000 steps more.. so I can see how this 5.000 are already another big difference. I now really think that you improve your body a lot only by walking. It is amazing!! When I am used to the 15.000 I will maybe go up to 20.000 in a few weeks! Thanks for the video! :)

Awesome video. I also walk between 15, 000-17, 000 steps a day. I break mine into 3 times a day. I walk to the park and then walk 2 miles on their trails. Sometimes I go the mall and walk for 1 hour. Then when the weather is bad outside I put on a YouTube walking video. I really enjoy walking outside in nature the best. I wish you the best with your journey.

Walking 10 k steps everyday.
I did 11k actually because it's just so beautiful to walk in the nature (don't care if it's spring or winter) already noticing this:
1 My mood greatly improved
2 Don't have hunger after walking fast (6 km/h) just need to drink. Discipline for controlling what i est.
3 feeling of having won something 🤣🤣 i don't know the numbers increasing helps for confidence.

Since i struggle with depression for a bit too much i noticed that my inner self talk is healthier.
Definitely going to walk for the rest of my life, it's bad i didn't found this cheat code for life earlier but whatever.

I've been walking 6k steps for 3 months but this month bumped up to 8k, I may increase to 10k next month. I have hard tile floors so I put those interlocking foam tiles together (used for toddler play) into 1 long line across my living room/kitchen. I walk backwards and forwards on the foam while watching Netflix or doing YouTube workout videos. I'm also eating normal breakfast and lunch but I slice cucumber, carrot peels, and lettuce leaves, then eat them like I'm munching on chips in the evening with a protein shake (water based). Fills me up with hardly any calories. I'm 60 and decided that if I don't lose weight now, I am reducing my own lifespan. 3 - 30 min workout videos is 8k for me but I like your idea of the walking pad! Also, a walk on my road, with tunes, really reduces the time to 8k steps.

My average steps ranged from 2-5k steps a day. I work a desk job and worked out a couple days a week. My mindset was that I only was supposed to be “active” at the gym and not throughout the day.

I went on a texting accountability group with a goal of 10k per day. I’ve been doing this for 2 months and I’ve surpassed it! My average is now 14k and yesterday was my HIGHEST record of 22k (nothing special) just movement at work, on phone calls, around my neighborhood, and walking to the store instead of driving down the street.

Highly recommend. This has been life changing!

Excellent video! I walk at least 15, 000 steps a day starting around 5:30 a.m. at the YMCA. Treadmill, indoor track, around the parking lot, hiking trails on the premises. I used to walk treadmill at 4, 4.5, 4.8, and 5 miles per hour. Now around 2.8 to 3 miles per hour. Mild heart attack in 2013 but damage undetectable if any. The walking has paid off. Cardiologist said EKG was perfect, bloodwork textbook, and heart sounds great. I stopped running in the late ‘90’s when fellow YMCA members developed knee problems. I do need to lose around 20 pounds. I have long wanted to do a Kennedy 50 Mile Walk in one day but did walk 52 miles in 5 days, and 56 miles in 7 days. On December 11th I’ll donate to the American Red Cross blood pint 154. Walk on!

Thanks so much for your video. I've been walking at least 10k steps a day since September. I have yet to notice any weight loss though! I bought a weighted vest, but was too knackered after using it so thought I'd leave it for later. I also had a habit of leaving my steps til the end of the day and, as a woman, didn't relish walking at night, so I bought a rebounder. These 'steps' are really good fun. Sometimes I wonder if they really count, but when I sweat loads I figure they must. I just wish I'd lose some weight but I think having cancer and my thyroid removed may have messed everything up for good. I've never been a greedy person and eat less that ever so...Maybe I'll start proper weight training soon. I sometimes use weighted gloves... Thanks again.

Hi there, how did you track steps on the treadmill desk if your hands were stationary...did your fitness tracker track those?

Thank you for this video. I looked up how many miles is 15k steps. Here is what I found:
How many miles is 15, 000 steps? 15, 000 steps make about 6.5 miles. The exact number depends on the individual's height and stride length. For a woman with an average stride length (2.2 ft), 15, 000 steps are 6.245 mi, and for a man with an average step (2.5 ft), it's 7.102 mi.
Also, I am listening to Dr. Peter Attia and he says, in my summation, that as we get older, we are going to need to do spend more time in physical activity in order to stay physically fit as when we were younger. You are right in pointing out that we sit far too much and consume far, far too much garbage food. So, it's okay to have true hunger before eating good/healthy food and it's good to keep moving and staying active. Your testimony, of how positively walking 15k steps helped you, is inspiring to me.
My tips: to walk outside for lunch (I can eat my lunch after my kids come back from their lunch), park my car far away from workspace/classroom, walking around more during my planning time at school and during class time, dedicate time outside to do yardwork. I can also walk before AND after school around our campus, this time can also be used to listen to music or a podcast, to meditate on something positive, to pray and to relax. Thank you again for this video. I look forward to learning more from you. Best wishes and take care. 😊💖🙏

In construction (high rise)... I regularly walk 40, 000 steps/day. That's not sidewalk. It's stepping over things, ducking under things, climbing up/down ladders, across rebar. All those activities sometimes while carrying heavy things, also up and down ramps, across slippery clay. You get use to it and it actually feels just like an average day. 15k steps should not be daunting. basically every 10 minutes you'll walk 1000 steps. 10, 000 steps burns about 500 calories for the typical person.

I recently started walking 10, 000 steps. I am really aggressive on my weight loss because of personal issues. I only eat once a day. Then, Bam! in 1 week I lost 6kg. I know mine kinda inclined with a crash fad but Im working on balancing my meals now.
