Ready for a rough back workout... Let's get after it!

I realized last night that I haven't filmed a FULL back workout in a while, only pieces or given insights on how to do specific exercises. That made me really want to put together a full workout so everyone knows exactly how hard you need to train your entire back to get it to grow and get that coveted V-Taper!

Let me know what video you want next and get after it.

Ryan, I've been following your YouTube channel for a short time now, I'm a man with 42 years training experience and I find you a well-needed breath of fresh air. Keep up the good work Ryan.

The funny things is that if any1 would do any of these exercises like this, I would think they were using poor form/doing cheat reps. When Ryan does it and explains it i'm like "yea makes sense" lol

"use the two handles again, because god forbid anyone else gets to use them"

ah, my gym nemesis

I felt like I could never really connect with my back and every other muscle honestly until I started binge watching your content. My ego is left at the door now and I’m solely taking my time to focus on actual mind muscle connections and start training for real. THANK YOU

Watching Ryan do lat pull downs is enough just to see how I’ve been doing lat pull downs so wrong my whole life. You can see they trajectory of the wide grip bar so clearly in such a short video and correcting yourself to that movement really means those lats light up!!

Thank you Ryan - if they ever have a fitness YouTuber of the year award you have my vote!

I tried the “lean forward” today with the close grip pull down and rows... it really helped with my mind-muscle connection and IMMEDIATELY could feel my lats light up.... thanks Ryan!

Without a doubt, one of my favorite channels to watch. Information is no nonsense, concise, motivating, and I constantly have to rewind to chuckle with the hidden witty gems! Keep up the great work Ryan!

Your posts have helped my recover from 3 injuries in 8 months, all of which required surgical intervention.
1. Aug 2020: a completely torn Left hamstring
2. March 22: a partially torn R Meniscus
3. April 2021: 70% torn Left biceps tendon

After living in the gym for over 1/2 my life (owning 4 for a few years too and working with some of our own trainers), I was within striking distance of the shape I wanted (more or less). The injuries and subsequent rehab periods were difficult in so many ways. Checking ego at the door and hobbling around between PT and the weight room floor was humbling. Then I found your channel and decided to go back to formula with training and start studying your videos. I have learned so much and applied it to my recovery. Now? I am nearly back to full strength in some areas and actually better than before than others. Your rep tempo, movement ariations, focus on lighter and far more controlled movements etc have made a huge difference. And the no BS way you deliver info is terrific! Just wanted to say thank you. You coached me and didn't know it. Thanks again.

Gotta say. Because of you, you've managed to make pull day my favorite days. Never thought that'd be happening.

I've been following you for about 9 months now and I have seen more progress during this time than with the other instructors I followed all put together. I'll be 66 in a couple of months and I feel and look better then I did a year ago working out. Thanks for your examples they're spot on.

So glad I discovered your videos. So many great variations to get the "look" and the best part of all of your videos are that all of your videos are precise without being overly wordy as many other trainer videos.

These videos make a huge difference! I have a bicep injury and have been looking for ways to isolate my back so I don't hurt my bicep further...I'm definitely gonna keep this in the routine even beyond the injury healing
