Similar to the original No Knead bread recipe but done in much less time! Taste Great!!

Ingredients & Instructions:
3 Cups of flour
2 1/4 tsp of Instant yeast
1 1/2 tsp of Salt
1 1/2 cups of warm water

Mix ingredients and let rise in a warm place for 4 to 6 hours

Lightly oil a work surface and place dough on it; fold it over on itself once or twice. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and let rest 30 minutes more.

At least a half-hour before dough is ready, heat oven to 450 degrees. Put a 6-to-8-quart heavy covered pot (cast iron, enamel, Pyrex or ceramic) in oven as it heats. When dough is ready, carefully remove pot from oven. Slide your hand under dough and put it into pot, seam side up. Shake pan once or twice if dough is unevenly distributed; it will straighten out as it bakes.

Cover with lid and bake 30 minutes, then remove lid and bake another 15 to 30 minutes, until loaf is beautifully browned. Cool on a rack.

If you'd like to purchase an enamel cast iron dutch oven like mine here's a link:

Yes! Our forefathers/mothers had far too much to do to waste time kneading bread and fiddling around with perfectionism for every single day's meal. It was quick and easy. It HAD to be. Making bread is a fascinating study of history and culture that has been lost in this current generation. I'm so glad you posted this video!!

Diane I've been following you for about four years and you have some great recipes. I found this recipe about three years ago. For the bread and it is delicious. If I make soup. I usually make the bread. Thank you for putting the recipes on and doing an awesome job

Love it! It's not so messy with all the flour and kneading that normal recipes take. Thanks for sharing

I found this recipe a few months back and made it a few times since. It's a no fail recipe!

The longer rise (~18 hours) adds a LOT of flavor to the dough. This one looks and probably still tastes amazing, but I would definitely do the longer rise if you can remember to start the dough a day early! It looks great though! Thanks for sharing!

I've done this but with a clay pot cooker. It has to be un-glazed. It's like putting a pizza on a pizza stone that's hot. I also found out that the oval Corningwear baking dish is the perfece size to let it do it's final rise in. You just roll it out into the clay pot. We like the oval shape also.

I really enjoy and look forward to your videos. Wish you had time to do them more often.
Thank you.

LOVE your olive oil dispenser! I haven't bought one because I can never make up my mind, but that is perfection.
I will try it. I'm finding it harder and harder to knead bread so this would be perfect.

You can quickly rise your dough buy kneading it and putting it in a barely warm oven. Set the oven to its lowest temperature and shut it off after 30-40 seconds of running, dont let the oven get over 110f. If it does just open the door and let it cool for a few seconds. You can rise it in the dutch oven and just remove the pan when its risen to preheat the oven. Its really best to use a second rise and better 1-2 days in the fridge.
