Is BAPTISM Necessary for SALVATION?

Acts 2:38 clearly states baptism IS necessary for salvation and it must be in JESUS name.

I want to be baptized but I feel I'm not ready yet and though I accept God into my heart I yet feel that I don't know him well at the same time. I just started to have my eyes open to God because I want to change my life and be a good person.

My parents won't let me be baptized because my parents are Catholics and I'm a christian. When I told then I was christian and not Catholic my parents got mad, so the r forcing me to be Catholic.🙁

There is a big difference in water baptism and baptism in the Holy Spirit. Let me quote John the Baptist

Mark 1:8 AND Matt 3:11
I indeed baptize with water, but He (Jesus) who comes after me will baptize with the Holy Spirit.

Now let me quote Jesus:

Act 1:5 AND Acts 11:16
For John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now..


Now if the Scriptures say Jesus baptizes NOT with water but with the Holy Spirit, then how is being "Baptized into Jesus" a water baptism?

in actuality, Mark's verse puts the emphasis on trust, not baptism. He who believes NOT shall be dammed. Thus Baptism is not a work included in Salvation. It is a declaration of your already being saved.

I was baptized a Mormon (before I knew anything) and later in life I was baptized a Luthern. But recently God has saved me from churches, religion and all such nonsense. I have Jesus. And He is All I need! Hallelujah!!
