I got baptized. I actually WANTED to be baptized. I felt the Lord God speak to me that day. I do love God. Amen

From my understanding, baptism is meant to be a public declaration that you have accepted Jesus as Lord, and that the old person is gone. You are now born again. It isn't baptism itself that saves you. It is the fact that you are born again. Many people get baptized as infants and live like the Devil. They are not saved.

I've read my baptism certificate, that was signed by both of my parents when I was 50 days old. It reads they both made a promise to teach me to love God.
They kept that promise, I love God. I acknowledge Him and I thank Him as the source of all the blessings He has given me.

Well said. You clarified what I already knew in my heart but had to actually hear being said. Besides, how can I say I LOVE the Lord and yet disobey Him regarding this for whatever ridiculous excuse I may have. Thank you.

Wow! The biblical answer is absolutely yes. Water baptism saves, its when your sins are forgiven Acts 22:16. Clear as water, no pun intended. God bless

Definitely my favorite preacher. I know way too many Christians who refuse to be baptized. But they were taught that away. I point out that Jesus was baptized. Most have more faith in their denomination than they do in the word of God. Jesus will judge their hearts. Always

I understand what you are saying that one could come to Christ and die before getting baptised.
Having said that, once you know about Christ and baptism I believe it's important to get baptised or Jesus wouldn't have mentioned it if it wasn't important.

Baptism is a work, it is an outward sign to other believers, it has nothing to do with your salvation !
John 3:5

“Jesus answered,  Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”

The spirit is of course the HOLY SPIRIT, and the water is the living water, JESUS CHRIST!
John 4:10

“Jesus answered and said unto her,  If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.”

Ephesians 2:8

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God,
And not of works lest any should boast"

The phrase, “shall be saved, ” connects the blood of Christ and baptism. In Romans 5:8-9, the apostle Paul said, “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.” But when Jesus gave the “Great Commission, ” He said these words: “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned” (Mk.16:15-16). So, while there is no doubt that Jesus saves us by His blood, He only does so when we are baptized. This connects the blood of Christ to baptism!

The thief on the cross was not baptized. And Jesus made it crystal clear where he would shortly be. Thanks Chad for clear, Biblical teaching.

Great video. Debates are interesting but sometimes they can overcomplicate the gospel and can cause divisions in the church and turn-off the world. (1 corinthian 1:10) If something is commanded in scripture, it is a command, not a suggestion. All throughout the NT we learn what Christ & the first century church taught about salvation. If we study out every new testament conversion, these were present: They heard the word of God (Romans 10:17), believed in and confessed Jesus is Lord, and followed him (rom 10:9-19), they were grateful & cut to the heart over their sin (2 Corinthians 7:10), confessed their sins (John 1:9), repented of their sins and turn to God (Luke 13:5), were baptized, (Acts 2:38-41), taught others to do the same (Matt 28-18-20), persevered in their walk with God, (Philippians 2:12–13). This is the plan of salvation and sanctification and are present in most conversions in scripture. (With the thief on the cross, Jesus had the power to forgive sins and was still alive so no need to be baptized into his death even though Jesus was baptized himself as an example to the church with John's baptism). If baptism is a work, then hearing, repenting, confessing Jesus is Lord, and even faith is a work because all are things we do, which is ridiculous argument because that is not the "saved by works" Paul was addressing. The fact is, ALL of the preceding are commanded. Want to start learning more about Jesus? Read the entire book of John in the New Testament. It's a great starting point to learn more about who Jesus is. Again great video.

1 Corinthians 1:17

[17] For Christ did not send me to baptize but to preach the gospel, and not with words of eloquent wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.

Mark 1:14-15

Jesus Begins His Ministry

[14] Now after John was arrested, Jesus came into Galilee, proclaiming the gospel of God, [15] and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.”

I was basptised as a baby and have heard it is not enough to just have water poured on the forehead, and that you need to be fully immersed in the water . I would like to beleive that the act of baptism i received is enough though .

I got baptized when I was around 10 but I didn’t really care for Jesus now I’m getting serious about my faith and I wanna get baptized again because I didn’t really believe when I did. However I’m not sure if I should because I’ve already been baptized once. Should I?

"Baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit", so they proceed to baptize in the name of Jesus. Maybe there's a different point to all this, no?

Why does Jesus get baptised? He is God, yet submits to man, John, for his baptism. Jesus has no sin. Yet he tells John to baptise him to fulfil ALL righteousness! Why, how does baptism fulfil ALL righteousness and why does God need to bd baptised by a man? Must be pretty important?

How to know salvation is faith based not faith + works or works (also not trying to say be lawless)
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. galatians 2:16

But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. isaiah 64:6

Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. romans:3:28
But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. romans 4:5
you do the law out of love not out of loose salvation you are SEALED
In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, ”
ephesians 1:13

13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.ephisians1:13-14
see that? you were sealed!!! with the holy spirit of promise till redemption, wanna say you can unseal loose that sealness? isn't that blasphemy againts the holy spirit .im not sure here
I do not frustrate the grace of God; for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ Died in vain.
galatians 2:21

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
how can you have peace, if you're worried 24/7 did i do right oo noo i fall short, did i maintained the law properly? the bible does say if you sin once you are guilty of all, please guys im not saying do what ever you want, because we are a new creations, the law is there to show you what is sin, but is your faith that he died for you that saves you, not how well you keep up the law, as romans 4:5 says even if you dont keep the law do the deeds you are still saved, you will suffer loss but you will be saved, remember the greater in the kingdom of god and less ? remember his kingdom comes on earth, guys even iF an angel says something else like you can loose your salvation thats a LIE bible warn us about this an angel !! not some false preacher but an ANGEL! so please dont think that as a christian you must do this do that or you gonna loose your salvation, but once you believe that christ died for your sins and rose on the third day, you are sealed with the holy spirit of god until the day of redemption. many churches put people under law. is the faith that saves us, our good deeds will be rewarded in heaven, people who preach a work based salvation, in the end they gonna hear depart from me i never knew you. Soo that means law is done away we can go kill do this do that?, No!!!! you get a MORALITY from god you dont do that, and even if you do something bad he chastise you make you feel guilty (Hebrews 12:5–6), but its the FAITH not the LAW what saves you, so lets say you steal something cuz you neede the money or you watch some dirty movie or had sex outside marriage and die right at that second you go to hell? see how stupid that is? you are sealed he died for your sins, past future present, but still you pray for your sins to be forgiven cuz they affect you while on earth, dont listen to me or any1 else saying you can loose your salvation or doubt it, listen to the bible .

5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. Titus 3:5-7

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. mathew 7:21
and what is the will of father? TO believe "For this is the will of my Father, that every one who sees the Son and believes in him should have eternal life.” (John 6:40)"

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. john 6:47 YOU HAVE EVERlasting life by faith

But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. see its all about faith but you must know what sin is, and how do you know that ? bible!

And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: philippians 3:9

For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;

13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes” (Romans 10:4)
again im not saying be lawless, but dont think your own rigtheousness means something like your in heaven because you believed
and you lived a holy life, no you in heaven because what he did on the cross for you and we should do good things, but not to maintain salvation
but because its fair, i still strugle with Korn, im not saved because i watch that filth? no, i am saved because i put my faith in christ what he did for me
do i feel bad when i do this well yes he chastise me .
So many many people oo you can't watch that you are going to hell you can't say that you are going to hell, well if thats what you think you are under LAW
trying to make your own rigtheousness, your own way to heaven, or people think you are saved, but you must be holy or you loose your salvation .(nah) (again not saying be lawless) just saying your works has nothing to do if you make it in heaven or not

therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses.

for those who think work based salvation you are under law and you are cursed you must keep all perfect

For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.(galatians 3:10-11)

And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption (Ephesians 4:30)

For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. galatians 5:13
