I’ve lost 198 pounds eating 40% of all my calories from carbohydrates. 402 pounds to 204 pounds. And still going.

I am determined to reach my goal weight with GOOD carbs on my plate! Down 15 kilos in 6 months so :-) LOVE root vegetables, legumes, oats, 'God-made' foods - madness to cut them out! I have also recently started IF (eat between 10am-6pm) and that is making a big difference to how much I am eating! Portion control is a big deal too. I am actually enjoying the challenge of ditching the junk, making healthier choices and watching the scale come down without feeling deprived. Last thing: quote from 'the Gambler': "you gotta know when to hold em, know when to fold em, know when to walk away and know when to run!" Don't try and win against BAD carbs and junk food! They will beat you every time - have you craving them more and more and more. Just drop em and RUN, RUN, RUN far, far away from them. Just don't buy em! xx:-)

I use to cut carbs to lose weight but I found that it wasn't necessary. In fact, it gave me results I wasn't happy with. I find keeping carbs relatively moderate to high (as well as protein) yield better results from both a physique and strength perspective.

I find that if I cut carbs for too many days in a row and then eat one carb, I feel like it just puts the weight on instantly! Water weight mostly. I’m so active that I end up binging on carbs and reversing everything! So I think for me, including carbs in my every day, even if it’s a moderate is the way to go.

Thanks a lot for this video I didn't find it hard to cut carbs but keto caused me health issues such as (digestive problems, constipation) So I'm gonna stop keto and get back to low carb diet.

I tried keto, low carb, fasting, high carbs, 5 meals a day, 1 meal a day, 3 meals a day, you name it.

They ALL work as long as you're in a deficit. Whatever you diet find the most sustainable and can stay consistent with is the one you should stick to :)

I’m only eating Millet flour in the form of bread or Indian Rotis with lot of pulses curry. I know that’s mix of carbs and proteins but I definitely feel healthy and full. I love my healthy carbs..

While I don't crave endless carbohydrates, the main ones I do crave are the lime-flavored tortilla chips from Siete (cooked in avocado oil), salsa, medjool dates, red grapes, and Justin's dark chocolate almond butter cups. The other carbohydrates I eat (but, don't crave in the same way) are apples, bananas, potatoes (cooked in the air fryer), pineapple, beans (navy, pinto), dark sweet cherries, blueberries, and strawberries. Of these, the medjool dates are my kryptonite. I want to buy some everytime I'm at the store, but I'm usually able to resist. For a couple of weeks, anyway. Nuts are another food where I can go overboard -- especially pistachios and pecans. When possible, I buy nuts in the shell, so I have to work at them and they're not as easy to overeat. If there's a heaven, I imagine it having an endless buffet of every type of gastric indulgence and I can eat and drink everything without consequence.
