STEPS BELOW:

1. Locate INI files in C:\Users\{User Name}\Documents\My Games\Fallout4\.

5. Set God Rays to low in the Fallout 4 Launcher Graphics settings. It looks pretty much the same as high but saves you a lot of frames.

It's not a port, it's just because Bethesda's engine is terrible.

Totally laggy and unplayable for me, why should you have to go through all these tweaks just to play a game?

When I was first playing Fallout 4 with its default mouse setting, I was missing constantly and thought I really sucks or something. Now that I fixed it I can headshot easily.

Ahhh yes, I remember those 12 hour gaming sessions where I stuff my face with energy drinks and lbs of gummy worms. Walk away feeling total vertigo and a queezy stomach.

3:39 - You appear to have a *"masturbation management issue [you] didn't really notice"* according to the closed captions.

Help! I added the texts you mentioned to fix the mouse problem ( bMouseAcceleration=0) but it made no difference at all. The game is almost unplayable as it is. I refuse to have to use a gamepad! Anyone else still having the same issue?

Remove the 60fps part, already patched... and if you never had a 120hz or 144hz monitor you really don't know what you're missing.

FPS FIX : Okay after days of configing my F4 on my laptop i got it to not lag at 3 fps.

1. Get this ULG mod installed, get your shadows as low as possible through it, don't make files read only when installing.
2. Go to C:\Users\<Your Username>\Documents\My Games\Fallout4 folder (click Documents in Start menu and find it)
3. Open Fallout4Prefs.ini file and find fDirShadowDistance and fShadowDistance =1000.0000, change them to 100.0000
4. Scroll down and change iSize H = 600 and iSize W = 800
5. Change bFull Screen=1 and iPresentInterval bMaximize bBorderless bTopmost options above full screen all to = 0
6. Save the file and open Fallout4.ini in the same folder
7. find [Interface] section and add a line fLockPositionY=100.0000 (this will let you lockpick at this resolution)
8. Save the file. and change both these files to Read Only.

Now launch the game and play at low resolution but at least playable 20-60 FPS not 3-15 + input lag. Sometimes if the interface is misaligned, ALT+TAB in and out of the game so the interface aligns normally

Late to the party... The difference between first person fov and world fov is determined by first person or third person viewing.

Using the wasteland x512 textures really improved everything. Using these fixes with the Fallout 4 config tool along with the texture mod is what did it. Most of my problem is me running out of memory with my 2gb 660. After that I run it at 1280x720 with taa and I always get 60. I'm sure you could add in some other effects but I usually turn them off because I find them annoying in some games.

Great Vid! Thx!

Btw, maybe there´s a "code Line" also for 144hz?
Im having huge headakes with the 60hz standard settings... :S

Keep the good work!

Thanks a lot for putting these suggestions together. I just got a new MB, i5 chip and updated ram hoping it would improve Fallout 4. I cannot afford a new graphics card so I'm stuck with my old 550Ti. These tips definitely help us poor folks out who cant buy $500, 000 graphics cards!

As an unrelated side note, I have been noticing recently a lot of whiny people commenting on various YouTube videos and complaining about loud intros? I mean...I haven't heard about this news on the BBC or anything like that, should I stock up on ammo and food? Is the volume knob inconvenient to turn? Maybe use a little forethought and turn the volume to a non-damaging level to start and adjust accordingly. I feel like this trend of loud YouTube intros could spark another hunger famine or cause civil unrest...PLEASE make sure you don't offend anyone with your loud intros, god forbid they have to stretch their arm out 12 inches to reach the goddamn Jesus Christ. Sorry for ranting, I just needed to make sure these disgruntled sound fairies know that I hate them.

the fDefaultWorldFOV=90 and the fDefault1stPersonFOV=90 is... the world fov is if you se your gun in 3 person it wil be good in 3 person but if you are in 1 pirson the world fov vil be strange. thats why they added another model to 1 person that you cant se in 3 person to make it look realistic. so world fov is what the world se and the person fov is what you se in 1 person....
