Fallout 4 Graphic Settings Comparison (PC)
Показать описание
Settings with multiple tiers such as Low, Medium, High, and Ultra, that aren’t significant except between the extremes, have been shortened to the extremes, such as Low and Ultra for the sake of convenient viewing.
ASPECT RATIO:
The aspect ratio of a monitor is a proportional representation expressed as two distinct numbers separated by a colon. The aspect ratio describes the correlation between width and height. Common monitor aspect ratios include 4:3, 16:9, and 21:9.
This is excluded from the video because it doesn’t make sense in a game-specific graphic settings video.
RESOLUTION:
Resolution refers to the number of pixels a screen can show. The higher the number of pixels a screen can show, the sharper the image quality is. Baseline full HD features 1,920 x 1,080 pixels (1080p) and there are sharper standards, QHD (2,560 x 1,440 pixels) and 4K UHD (3,840 x 2,160 pixels).
This is excluded from the video because it doesn’t make sense in a game-specific graphic settings video.
LIGHTING QUALITY:
Lighting quality affects the quality of the shaders used in Fallout 4. It makes the world look more natural, and improves the fidelity of the skybox.
Lighting quality is pretty much completely unnoticeable, even in a side-by-side comparison, therefore it has been excluded from the video.
If your system can run it, go for the “Ultra” setting. If your system is struggling, you can set lighting quality to “Medium” with a basically unnoticeable difference to visual quality.
DEPTH OF FIELD:
Depth of field is the effect in which objects within some range of distances in a scene appear in focus, and objects nearer or farther than this range appear out of focus.
Depth of Field only applies in VATS and the Dialogue Camera, and is not significant enough to include as a side-by-side comparison.
RAIN OCCLUSION:
Rain Occlusion stops rain from falling around your character when under a covering such as a bridge or roof.
MOTION BLUR:
Motion blur is a visual effect that adds a blur like image to objects in motion. It can be used to hide choppy framerates or bad graphics.
WEAPON DEBRIS:
With Weapon Debris enabled, Fallout 4 will render chunks of actual debris that fly through the air and persist in the scene. Weapon Debris are not significant enough to include as a side-by-side comparison.
SCREEN SPACE REFLECTIONS:
Screen Space Reflections impacts the reflections of objects on water surfaces. Screen Space Reflections are not significant enough to include as a side-by-side comparison.
