OMG I made the homemade today and it was PERFECTION. The caramels stayed on the apples for the first time EVER! I've used Peter's and had the same problem that you have. I like the La Lechera but it doesn't have the traditional caramel flavor that some people want. It's different. This homemade recipe is soooo good- but I did add a teaspoon of vanilla. Thank you!

Thank you sooo much for clarifying everything!!! I did by the bag apple kit when I made the dulce de leche apples but my family ended up eating them all anyways. So I can save the bags if I make the homemade Caramel apples. I actually prefer the dulce method, it was so easy. 💖💖💖
