This is the exact mindset that finally got me to be consistent with going to the gym. Drop the "all or nothing" mentality.

Y’all, I’ve been following Mike for a few months now and his channel has totally changed how I work out. I’m not the thinnest I’ve ever been (working on that) but I am the most muscular

Less weight, no ego lifting, less pain, less time, more gains

Why? Better technique, full ROM, get a good stretch, control the force the entire way through

62 here and go once every 3-4 days. Duration average is about 35 minutes. Making really good progress for a geezer. 💪

Listening to Doc has REDUCED my time at the gym by increasing the QUALITY of my exercises. I get my five days a week still but I’m not dragging through to 1.5hr 2hrs. I can get it done in one hour and I feel accomplished. On Leg Day, I am walking out of that gym without a skeleton. i got jelly legs in only one hour. Thank you eccentric and stretch holds.

I’ve been doing this for 3 weeks now. 4 days a week: 25 min of cardio and 20-30 min of weight training. I’m feeling better physically already.

I recently moved house and converted the garage to a small gym. Got the Squat rack, cables dumbells. Can't tell you how much more consistent I am in lifting. It's all about removing barriers to exercise. I really struggled to get motivated to go to a commercial gym. Now I just pop downstairs and crank out a few sets lol

Most people are not like "really" they are like "no you are wrong". They always know better if it takes some effort

I've been lifting for about half an hour a day and then walking for a good hour afterwards. The exercise and being outside, have done wonders for my mental health.

I'm was a personal trainer, gave body pump, rpm from les mills to "normal" people. Unfortunately my father got cancer and I had to change my job. I wasn't making money and had to support my family. I work in the oil and gas industry in portugal today. And I ended up being sedentary. What you said in this video is simply true. Doing 30 mins of exercise 2/3 times a week will get insane benefits and will be enough.. just what movement itself can do to your body is insane. I'm starting again to get 40mins 4x a week for the last year and although being a struggle. it's actually the best thing ever. Had to be sedentary to understand it... ❤ great channel !

Something is absolutely ALWAYS better than nothing.I preach this incessantly!AND?Find activities that you enjoy! And include them in your daily routine.Exercise should be like brushing your teeth.A necessity.Fitness is a lifestyle. Not just about a gym.Do what works for you.👏🏻🖤

Mike Menacer was preaching this all his life as a bodybuilder and even after when training bodybuilders.

This is my personal advice. If you are Obese and have a sedimentary lifestyle, you need to make very small steps and work your way up. Get your eating habit under control, count calories....yes it does help, it makes someone who has a poor relationship with food to actually look at the label and start realizing serving size, discipline, food proportion control, while looking at the calories they will notice other nutrition values like sodium, sugars, etc. that they normally do not think about when eating. Work on giving up bad foods and drinks, etc. that you know you should not be consuming. Cut back on the debbie cakes, ice cream, etc. try to kick those habits. Make small changes, until you eliminate them. Then make changes accordingly, like substituting healthier options for your goals. When working out, just get up and do something. Doing something instead of nothing, is already a great improvement. You do not need to go super hard, do 2 exercises, then 3, then 4, etc. You need to learn to have a good relationship to working out, if you go to hard, you will hate it, and quit after day one, so small steps, even if it is going on 10-minute walks, again it is better than doing nothing like you were doing. Learn, get better, improve, keep making small changes, and it will help. Like I said this is just my advice, that helped me when I started.

Needed to hear this today. Three one hour sessions doesn’t feel like enough but it’s been all I can squeeze in. Thanks Dr Mike
