'Six Pack Abs' Don't Mean You're Healthy!

When it comes to being healthy, the people that are in good health do not confuse their physique or aesthetics for their health. Just because someone walks around with six pack abs and appreciable muscle mass, doesn’t mean that they live a healthy lifestyle. If that same person had yellow eyes, brittle nails, or their hair was falling out; you wouldn’t consider them to be “healthy” even though they have an impressive physique

On the other hand, if someone is slightly higher body fat percentage but they take care of themselves in terms of building muscle, their cardiovascular health, and they have no real deficits to speak of, you would likely consider them to be the healthier individual despite not having a six pack.

While your body fat percentage levels are a good indicator of health, they are not the only metric you can look at and if it is, you need to reevaluate how you determine good health.

There are millions of people starving in the world that have six packs and are unfortunately not necessarily considered to have great health markers otherwise.

To answer Jeff's question, the guy doing face pulls properly is the healthy one here.

Case in point. The guy who played Spartacus in season one had stage 4 leukaemia. But to look at him. You would think he was really healthy because he was very ripped

Thanks for this short video on what “healthy” is or looks like. I’m 55 do 100 pushups a day and follow your dumbbell workout routine religiously. I’m in no meds and eat healthy everyday. I have my cheat days but don’t cheat too bad. I feel great and thank God I’m healthy…don’t have six pack abs 😂

Forget six-packs. Worry about visceral fat. Don't worry about subcutaneous fat.

Decades ago I was addicted to amphetamines. I would train too much and barely ate. I was sick looking, but I had killer abs and thought I was fine, actually better than fine. The heart issues in my 20s sure stopped that stupid thinking. I turned 55 a few days ago, yes Bah Humbug everyone, and have a 4 pack and feel much better. Even had scans done on my heart (Thank you Universal healthcare), and it's in great shape.

Low body fat crashes testosterone levels. I went from 334 to 960 in around 3 months all natural no TRT. This book should be essential reading for all men. Written by a 50s guy with natural T levels higher than most 20s guys
