stop looking for someone to fill your void, accept that it will take time to heal and just keep taking care of yourself

You overcome limerence by taking the facts as they are. Stop daydreaming. And when you think of them send them love. Them not choosing you is all the information you need to know to move on.

Struggled with this my whole life. Sought a Christian counsellor recently, and this was the advise I got: I’m trying to find my missing pieces in my “crush”. The missing pieces are what I admire in my crush (eg sense of authority, highly intelligent, charisma/well liked, etc). These missing pieces can also be considered as my weaknesses or what’s causing my lower self esteem. And that the missing pieces I’m trying to find, can actually be found in Jesus Christ (our savior). He alone compensates all my weaknesses. He’s the one I’m looking for. He created me, and my crush. And I have to spend more time reading the scriptures (to know who He is, that I can trust that He knows best and what He’s doing in my life and situations..) and praying .

Recently, after going in a hike, a oerson in our group showing caring by taking off some twigs from my sweater. The light touch and kind intention, as begnin as it was, triggered such an overwhelming sensation. To be touched with no sexual intent. To be touched for my benefit, felt so caring. I was so surprised to have such a steong feeling. Like i had been hungry and surprisingly offered a delicious treat. Touch is such a wonderful way to connect

I think the solution for this is patience. If you're obsessed with someone and you don't 'act' on your fantasy... you give them time to show you what they're all about and whether or not they're interested in you.

These shorts are really helpful and precise! Can you also add the link to original videos so it becomes easy to learn more about the content?
Thanks a lot for spreading awareness!

Idk how to overcome this because I’m obsessing over the question“ what could have been?“ idk know how he feels about me and it’s killing me inside…he often gave me signs that he liked me but otherwise he also often gave me opposite signs..he’s giving me mixed signals and I can’t stop thinking about it. We never talked about our feeling and I think we never will because I deleted his number..the unknown is KILLING ME

This, every time you start to have very tempting scenarios with the person, please watch this, at first it was fun the limerence, but there is a reason why this person is called a "limerence object". but the sooner you realise they are not an object, the better; honestly, it is not easy, but accept that it takes time to stop the daydreaming. Accept that you are the only one who can change your life. I will watch this evry now and the

She didn’t say how to overcome it. Just explained what it is and that it’s not real.

Im 33 and lived my life in my fantasies rather than reality.. that why i feel like i haven't really lived my life.. life is just slipping by.. i hope im healed before it's too late..
