I absolutely get her point and I am 100% on board.

My husband and I are decades together, and we both would admit that we have days where nothing is clicking and we feel like strangers to each other, and yes, some of those feelings are ugly. But we also have a deep and abiding friendship, common world views and interests, and respect for each other and the commitment we made. We love each other in the truest sense of the word. That means we work through the tough times, give each other space, and pick up the other's slack when needed. We show up whether we are waning or waxing because we know both of those cycles come and go.

People who say their marriages are always perfect are either checked out, deluding themselves or lying because we're encouraged by society to pretend that's the truth. Sadly, that's of no help to people who are struggling in their early relationships and wondering why it's so easy for others. The truth is, it's not always easy. But it's always worth it.

I'm going to say don't believe that. We're 2 weeks away from our 19th wedding anniversary and I have never once wanted to kill my husband. Have I been upset with him, absolutely but never to the extent shes saying is normal.

That's a crazy person's view of it. 15 years with someone and never felt that. Only felt love and admiration. This BS is why people are so unhappy in their relationships they believe the lies out of this woman's mouth. She will die alone with no family or loved ones to care for her. So sad
