During an intense workout, lactic acid is produced and builds up in your muscles. This is what causes pain and soreness in the muscles afterward (known as DOMS). Giving your body time to rest and recover gives your muscles time to breakdown and get rid of that lactic acid build-up.

Rest days give your body time to repair and replenish your muscles, leaving them ready to take on your next workout! Just like a nice long sleep leaves us feeling energized and refreshed, rest days leave our muscles ready, meaning better performance and energy throughout your next workout!

After 25 years of weight lifting, amateur body building, gym shutdowns. I have been strictly using long resistance bands and this is a great "rest day" routine! 👍🏽

Newcomer to the channel and found this perfect. I'm absolutely TERRIBLE at taking active recovery days, I always end up doing 45 minutes or so weights minimum 'just to keep me going'(!); this kinda workout gives me a stretch and gets me moving for a small calorie burn as well; gonna try and work this in at least once a week. :)

Thank you so much. This was great. I’m terrible about taking my active recovery days. I know I should. Today I was really sore from my shingles vaccine. This was just what I needed to get my blood flowing without overdoing anything. I feel so much better

I do this every Saturday as i work out Sunday to Friday and it really helps. This is excellent. It does exactly as you say, gives you energy and flushes the lactic acid

I love this, it’s kind of tiring but I’ll see if I can try it out tonight right after I come from track, like an hour and a half after track.

Hey I just did your other one of these posted a year ago and it was perfect after two days of basketball hiit. Looks like this one is kind of the same but a little more so I will definitely be trying it out next off day since the other one worked so well. Thanks man new sub for sure!
