Provisionism | Calvinism

This video series is a direct response to Leighton Flowers with Soteriology 101's constant attacks on Calvinism, Reformed Theology, the doctrines of grace and the gospel itself. He presents his view as being one possible Christian outlook, but we know that the Word of God is living and objective. There are not multiple correct views on the Bible. Even within Christianity, the carnal mind is at enmity with God. Paul says that sin still dwells within us, making us do that which we hate. As a Christian, Dr. Leighton Flowers hates heresy but just so happens to do the thing that he hates. This is why I am responding to him, so that one day he and his followers will see the heresy in their words, repent and turn back to their first love in repentance.

The important thing to take away from Calvinism is God's sovereignty and the doctrines of grace. We are dead in our sins and trespasses, and must be made alive in Christ, or in other words "Born Again", in the words of Jesus Himself, because he who commits sin is a slave to sin and he must be set free by Christ. This setting free, becoming born again, also carries with it the gift of faith which is how we are justified before God. It is a gift directly from God that is confidence that Christ has atoned for your sins by his sacrifice. He had to do this for you on purpose because you were dead in your sins, if you could simply repent and turn to God, then you would not need a savior. Now, with the Holy Spirit, you will be sealed and preserved for the last day because Jesus said that he will by no means lose even one of his sheep

Today we will be discussing another lovely video from

in this video, he explains the events that transpired that causes him to become "disenchanted" with calvinism. He asks the question found in Romans 9, but doesn't realize it. God's sovereignty is more evident in this man than any other person alive, because he refutes himself from every conceivable angle and has no idea.

It's possible that Leighton Flowers with Soteriology 101 could repent of his attacks on scripture, but only if God grants him the miraculous changing of a heart of stone into a heart of flesh, taking him out of the carnal mind and giving him the Spirit of Christ. By grace we are saved through faith, and that not of ourselves, it is the gift of God - not of works - lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship #bible #god #jesuschrist

How insane is his thinking? So Ephesians 2:1-3 doesn't demonstrate spiritual deadness? Flowers likes to evoke the parables to make his point, particularly the parable of the Prodigal Son. But even in the three parables in Luke 15 with the third parable being about the Prodigal son, verse 32 says that son was dead and now is alive again. Well, that son was living during the parable and never physically died, so why would the father tell the other brother in this parable he was dead? Because he was spiritually dead in his trespasses and sins.

He always looses his composure when he tries to debunk the doctrines of grace, and every time he reacts to a Calvinist his facial expression becomes very visibly angry and frustrated. It’s funny to see him try to hold it back when he’s clearly inwardly seething with anger haha.

Ummph.... Leighton done stepped in it again! C"mon man... just read and believe the word. According to your own philosophy this should be so easy. I'm really not trying to mock you Leighton... I'm calling you to repentance because I see you straying farther and farther from the word.
Great short @ Rogue brother

I believe Leighton, is just stuck on trying to convince himself that Calvinism is false. And he can’t.

Leighton is an ensample of the power of God to hardened whosoever He chooses to harden.

Thank the LORD for His grace if you see Leightons reprobation, as this is the very reason God hardened him....for you, tbe elect.

Why did you cut off the end of that passage? It says "just as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless in his presence"
It doesn't say he chose who would be in him, in other words God predestined that those in Christ would be holy and blameless, he didn't predestine who would be in Christ.

2 Timothy 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:
11 Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.
12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
13 ¶ Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
14 That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us.

Key words being 'In Him', not outside of 'Him' being Jesus. There is no salvation outside of Jesus. Once we place our faith genuinely in Jesus, then He will regenerate our heart. The plan of those are in Him having every spirirtual blessing was before the foundation of the world.

Leighton doesn’t read the Bible though.

"Is there some didactic text" bringing Leighton's assumption that the prodigal son is about freedom of the natural will to repent?

How can anyone know if they are among the elect? How can a Calvinist tell someone that God loves them when in fact they have no way of knowing that?

Also Bible speaks to us being sick more than dead. Though we are dead in the sense we cannot come to God on our own, throughout the Bible the dead can respond are expected to respond to God, which is not the Calvinist interpretion and not what the church Fathers taught either.

John 3:16. God chose the whole world to redeem, that whosoever believes in him will not perish but have everlasting life….

If you are right then God is a liar and Jesus did not redeem the entire world, defeat all sin, and act as the propitiation for sin for all mankind…

God doesn’t lie…. you do the math
