Thanks, this is actually the best series of videos I've seen on panic so far, and I've seen A LOT.

This video is so good and informative! This chap deserves more appreciation for his work and research. Thanks a ton for this, Magnus Nordmo!

Thank you. This really helped a lot, especially the bit about fainting.

I love this video. I had a situation where I took an energy drink in the gym and a thermogenic pill that had caffeine in it as well 30 minutes before and my heart rate went up to 210. I have some anxiety in the gym now and having anxiety about working out I’m working my way back into it slowly, but still a little fearful.

For me the catastrophic thought from my symptoms is feeling nauseous to an indescribable degree. I can't compare it to anything else and actually prefer vomiting over continuing to feel that nausea. So I'm stumped as to how I could practice exposure therapy when the only time I feel that is during the absolute most intense panic attacks during which I'd rather have a bullet evaporate my brainstem than continue that feeling for even just a second.

Right now the only solution I see is getting a diagnosis and hoping I can use that to show people I can't do whatever they want me to do or I'll have to go through that again every single time.

My case is strange because I have long covid so cardio is actually harmful for me, if I do cardio exercise I feel sick and have a headache and insomnia for that day. This was actually what triggered my panic disorder because I became overly aware of my own heart rate, and whenever it would deviate from the norm I would start to worry. It is tough because doing the exposure to high heart rate is not really feasible, I do it occasionally with weightlifting in short bursts, but one of my main fears is still having a sustained panic attack which will have a longer lasting aftermath of a few days feeling sick. It's happened many times. Sometimes the panic attack would be so severe that I would lay in bed for a few days to recover, and I would have chest pain that persevered afterwards which fed in to the fear of heart disease (especially relevant when you do actually have a risk of heart issues with long covid) but of course all of my tests came up clear and I have a healthy heart. Just wanted to express my own challenges, I think for most people with panic issues, intense cardio exercise would be amazingly therapeutic.

So I want to jump straight into the whole exposure. To do this do I sit and close my eyes and intentionally bring up the thoughts and feelings? This is the one part that's never made clear.
