Crazy how you're rank 7th in the all time deadlift rankings for 93's, despite pulling conventional and being 8 feet tall lmao 💪 good shit Justin

I'm 5'4" with a 5'8" wingspan, so sumo should be a dream! My back is my biggest muscle group and my legs are weak, and the hip inflammation is what makes me like conventional just a bit more.

Hey man, gratz on your success and I really mean no disrespect but isn’t your back heavily rounding on the conventional DL? How is that safe? Take care 💪🏻💪🏻

Hey JusTestAndTren, can you go over sumo stance and foot position, and how to find your stance. Also should I be feeling it in my legs cus I feel it in my lower spinal erectors? Also you’ve helped me a lot with my technique and lifting journey.

Imo, if you’re a bodybuilder and you include deadlift as part of your routine conventional is the way to go. If you’re training for powerlifting then using the stance which allows you to lift the most weight is the way to go.

I just started incorporating heavy sumo singles/doubles a couple weeks ago, hit a 10lb PR this Tuesday after being stuck for almost a year. Definitely worth putting some effort in to try it out.

I used to never lift sumo until one of nippards programs incorporated some opposite stance in there. I’m way stronger and it feels less taxing on my back so I’m all for it

Keeping your lats engaged, shoulders retracted is going to strengthen your upper back muscles, rear delts and lats too. If you want to get the full benefits out of a deadlift, drop the weight, do it properly and stop rounding your upper back.

Hi Justin, I'm a new subscriber. Maybe it's just your natural build, the length of your shorts and/or socks but your lower body is crazy. Your legs look muscular yet healthy and full as opposed to bony or emaciated. It's too cool. Well done.

Am I the only one who peeped the girl staring in the backround.

I know nothing about weight lifting in the high tiers but anything sumo related has my co-sign

I just don’t do deadlift at all. It’s just such a risky exercise to do IMO

Ngl bro your conventional deadlifts can do more work, cos your back is rounded every time you pull, you need to keep lats tight, and chest out more

Hey justrain. I’m no advanced lifter. But I wanna know how to deadlift with a rounded back. How to build up to it. How to keep ur back stiff and tight while rounded (which is struggle with)etc. I like to learn these things for fun but I have no intention of being reckless. There isn’t really much information on how to do it.

Hello Justthetwoofus, my spine is always curved more than other people. Will that cause issues with deadlifting if perfect straight spine for me is not a straight line but still as straight as I anatomically can? Also does doing deadlift or doing back workout targeting erector spine (like pullups) help fix that permanent curve I have?

Thoughts on influencer lifting belt (raw, inaka etc) looking to upgrade but don’t want to just buy a cheap quality belt

Justinyourdad, which muscle groups are unecessary to grow for increasing your sbd. For ex I don’t have to work biceps because it doesn’t increase my sbd. I’m trying to avoid as much weight as possible.
