You forgot about the resolution which is arguably the most important thing in a bottleneck scenario! I paired my 6900xt with an old 3600 in 1440p and sure it does bottleneck the GPU but in most games that I play i get 100% GPU utilisation but I know if it was a faster CPU I would probably get 300 fps instead of 270🤣

People need to understand that you pair a GPU and CPU with the monitor and games you play. Bottleneck is an extremely loose term that happens in every game (the fps will cap out no matter the pc specs). Now if you are planning on playing esport games on 240hz+ on 1080p yes the cpu will usually be the bottleneck. Triple A titles especially on higer resolutions will usually max out the GPU first.

The 6600 XT or 6700 10gb are far better options compared to the 3060/ti. AMD has the advantage with drivers when it comes to CPU bottlenecks. Keep in mind, the 5600G only supports pcie 3.0, so its better to get a full x16 bus width card.

Honestly never understand people avoiding bottlenecks, it just means you can upgrade your cpu and have more performance, while still getting the max out of your cpu

Also as a headsup, its usually better to have a gpu bottleneck than a cpu bottleneck, so your pc doesnt have any issues doing cpu tasks like watching youtube videos while gaming

All things considered. You’ll always be bottlenecked in some way. A 5% bottleneck on a 4080 is still far better performance than any mid tier card could offer.

Shouldve probably mentioned resolution as well. If theyre running 4k and just running single player games you could go with a lot higher end gpu than you mentioned. CPU usage scales with fps so. Really depends on what the buyer wants to do with it.

I've always looked at AMD as the ever-cheap reliable budget GPU brand, while anything that's even a little high end you should go with NVIDIA cause things such as DLSS or Ray Tracing

My experience of a cpu bottleneck is way worse than a slight decrease in performance. The stuttering made the fps feel way lower than it actually was

Rather interesting. I'm running R5 3600 OC and undervolt with a 3060TI for 1080p gaming. I could run most games at mid settings and don't feel bottleneck.
