is it possible to use vmware and let "IT" do its thing with whatever virtualization it uses, while also keeping hyper-v enabled for things like sandbox? in other words, isolate the two so they don't conflict, but use each to their own? as i recall, i had to even disable windows subsystem for linux and features to use VMware.. i fear the same will be true for subsystem for android, but I WANT to use them.

Thank you! This instruction worked on Windows 10 v1909 + VMware Player 16.1.0.
Note: After this command, Windows Sandbox no longer works.

If you need to return it back:
bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype auto
