I usually offer 50% of what I think I can resell it for. 90% of the time, it works. the other 10% of the time I will come up a little if I think it is worth it. Most I will pay is 75% of my resale value, ONLY if it is a large ticket item, & I'm 100% sure that I will make that 25% profit.

I forgot to mention, I've flipped vehicles since the mid 80's and I always go to look at a vehicle with the crappiest vehicle I had. These days I use my 99 2500 ram, horrible exhaust leaks and no from bumper. Works every time.

I like your strategy to a point. When guys try to negotiate without seeing or touching or hearing it I ask them to come look at it in person. Then they will know it’s worth what I’m asking. When I’m buying something I like to see, touch and hear so that I know I’m not being taken advantage of. There are a lot of people out there trying to make some money selling their junk. Go to a garage sale! Most of it should be hauled to the landfill.

I used to buy and sell stuff from estate sales. One of the things that always sold were vintage stockings at a great profit. The buyers were always men. :) People would ask me what did I collect? I collect whatever didn't sell!

Don't ever buy anything you plan to "flip" before you already have a buyer for it at an agreed to price. The only exception would be if you "steal" it and wouldnt mind owning and using it yourself if you can't resell it.

I've always said no matter what you have, it is actually worthless unless someone else wants it.

Ninja. I negotiate all high dollar items. I would embarrass most people but I think you would be proud at my technique. You can always get a better deal. But I want a great deal. Also... Sorry Ninja. Size always matters. ;)

I agree with you ninja I’m looking to buy a Chevy express right now they’re not willing to take the offer or accept the offer. I’m waiting after the summer in the winter they’ll have high inventory and they’re not gonna be able to say no to the offer because they want to get rid of it it’s not quite ready yet. I’ll wait..

I once sold a snow blower to a guy a decade ago.. He beat me up on price.. He used it a month or 2 later and it broke.. He must have hit something big and heavy... Well his dad was a State Trooper.. Well I wasn't impressed because I knew he close as family as one as well could get.. Anyways he told me he was "going to escalate the matter to the state police".. Well I had connections in the state capital.. The adult kid threatened me.. For doing that.. They offered the dad to retire or be demoted a couple ranks.. I heard through a good source he was jerked off so much by the other troopers he retired early.. Things like teasing him about daddies little boy stuff. Lesson learned you really don't know who knows who and how or why.. Forgot he said it cost more to fix than he paid.. After it was fixed wanted to keep it and me pay him what he claims he paid (after the repair). My state is all sales in cash don't have a warranty even if implied. Don't remember the amount but I didn't care..

So I can negotiate the price of your real estate program down to where it might actually be a reasonable price?

Negotiating is like each person trying to rip each other off.

Ozzie. The biggest issue no silver YouTube commentator has tackled is how to convert our large sum of silver for a big-ticket real estate item without getting slugged by the tax man for selling silver for cash first. Probably easier in UA than Oz. I have a plan

You show up and even hint less money after we agreed on a price you better be slithering your ass back in your vehicle.
I’ve taken the chain binders off an already loaded machine because they kept trying to negotiate. Most honest people don’t have time for games and don’t hide issues.
