That is very on point. I normally follow the decline route which sometimes make me feel ungrateful but the suggestions you offer are a great way of ensuring a sustainable relationship between clients and the potential service provider for the case of any future job prospects . Thanks!

Wow Shadé, this is exactly what I helped my girlfriend with several months ago without knowing it! We did all these steps and I told her to tell them her value and what she brings and it worked, they revised the original figure and agreed that what she brought to the table (your steps 3 and 4) was worth the extra she was asking for and gave her a higher offer, which she accepted.
