Everything I've learned from u I have of 5 car dealerships... 1 actually came with information they put all the cards on the table..the other 4 dealerships wouldn't respond or had snarky emails...

Great topic! Here is another topic ... Take a full page dealer ad from the newspaper and analyze all the loopholes in the prices, including the small print.

This is great stuff, guys. I’ve been looking at 1 to 2 year old cars for my daughter. Obtaining a legitimate OTD price has been extremely challenging.

Some of the bigger dealership simply does not care. I bought 2 VWs from a smaller dealership in Northern Virginia. Both times, they were more than happy to work with me.
As for the biggest VW dealership in area, they all have nice suits, big facility, big OTD price coupled with overinflated loan on top of it. Someone has to pay to keep their diamond crusted lights on.

OK, I'm having the craziest experience trying to buy a car. I've been researching, planning, etc. for at least 1-2 months. I've called some dealerships for pricing and they don't call back! Not sure what that's about. Finally, a local dealership has the make, model, trim I want. I negotiated the deal - it was a phenomenal deal based on all the research I've done. Everything is prepped so all I have to do is sign some papers and pick it up. I drive 45 min to the dealership -- and the sales managers says: "Oh, I'm so sorry, it's not here. The vehicle had a manufacturer's defect on the bumper. It's in the shop -- we are replacing the bumper. The paint is 'baking' on the new bumper, and the car won't be ready until Monday. We can do all the paperwork now and deliver it to you on Monday." Me: "No. I want to drive the vehicle before I buy it. (Yes, I have test driven the car, but I want to drive the actual one I will be purchasing before I buy it.) Manager: "Well, you can put down a deposit to hold it until Monday. It could be sold over the weekend." Me: "No thank you. Call me on Monday when it's ready." In the meantime, I will be shopping elsewhere.

Your video is very informative for somebody who no longer represents buyers in individual deals.

Hey great content guys. With this vid and other videos you’ve put out I was able to get a great deal on a new RDX this week. Negotiated down another 2.6k from original offer from dealer. Ended up getting a little over 7k off of MSRP and got them up on my trade another grand. Keep up the great work

My worse clients in my business are car dealer owners so I bought a Tesla. What I like is the detailed price with fees via email but off course find what cars each dealer has in stock down to the options that you are willing to purchase & work with that.

This was very important to me. It was also extremely helpful. You guys rock.
I'm still contemplating buying, but not sure when. The wife wants me to move on and do it.

In 2018 I negotiated a lease for a Toyota Rav 4
Totally by email. It was a great experience, and I knew when I got there the deal was done, other than a test drive. Much better experience, than playing all the games. The dealership was straight up, I guess you might find some that want to play games, when you get there.

I really like you guys and your videos! They're really fun and informative! I enrolled in your deal school and I hope to be applying what I learn soon as I'm in the market for a new car. After watching your videos though I'm going to try to hold off until late December or the first quarter of next year. I think you should (eventually) set up a second channel with more of this father/son banter! I'd love to watch you guys discuss reasonably priced watches, wines, and sneakers!

This is awesome information! What do you think about going around to local dealerships that all have the same basic car you're looking for, testing driving and inspecting them, and then emailing their respective internet sales managers to work out a deal? Assume an all cash offer with no trade in, so a very clean deal although not ideal for the dealer.

@Your Car Advocate, How do you come to a target price that would see as Fair to decide to make the deal? Every dealership it seems to me seems to be pretty consistent as to what they list as their Fair Market Value. It's been difficult for me to identify when I've found to be the price I should feel good about. Thanks for the videos, they are very helpful!!
