I'm not trying to downplay anyone's circus but from what TWC and other stations have shown me it appears the media frenzy whipped up a lot of fear in people...i understand for very good reasons.. but as people rode out the hurricane they were high on fear and to them, their perception, it was probably worse than it actually was. Cantore just said "he's never seen..." and I'm thinking, Hurricane Andrew, Charley, Wilma, Katrina...i haven't seen anything that matches people's perception of it being worse than ever before. Now maybe there's something they're not showing? Sometimes I think they're trying to sell politics.
