I was just thinking, why would a construction company leave a crane on top of a tall building with a massive hurricane approaching? We’re sending our thoughts and prayers to everyone affected in Florida by Milton and Helene.

Tampa here, hoping everyone is safe. Those tornadoes were larger and lasted longer on the ground. RIP to those that lost their lives

I worked in the wind tubine industry for several years and OSHA rules are cranes are to be laid down in winds above 40mph. How were these allowed to remain up?

Being from Texas and now living in Jacksonville, I told my sister in Texas 2 days before that there was going to be a massive outbreak of Tornadoes. Why?? Because we were already experiencing a Nor'easter (cold front with rain) before the hurticane hit which was making our temperatures much lower than normal. The hurricane growing in the gulf was because of warm air of the gulf. When warm air and cold air meet it brings tornadic storm conditions, and these were massive fronts.

My mom and every of my family member and friends were thankfully safe, but I’m sad for the others that sadly got hurt or passed away and I am glad that everything is OK and I just hope my mom’s house didn’t smash down😊

But did the house whose owner used ratchet straps to anchor it survive?? That’s the important question

We condemn the horrific actions of destruction and displacement, but we also support Milton as it has the right to defend itself.

Please folks. You WILL remember this hurricane. You don't need to go out & take pictures. Do what the emergency services are telling you to do. You will get in the way of emergency services and the work they need to do.
Stay out of their way. Be safe.🖖🏼🤟🏼✌🏼

This is the time to take political leanings out of the equation 😮

Tornadoes are always a part of hurricanes that big. There were some with Katrina.

Governor DeSaster was 'surprised' tornados broke out? WTF?
