Hurricane Milton barreled into the Atlantic Ocean on Thursday after plowing across Florida, pounding cities with ferocious winds and rain, and whipping up a barrage of tornadoes. It caused at least four deaths and compounded the misery wrought by Helene while sparing Tampa a direct hit.

Even with how devastating this is, and the whole year in general, it’s nice to see people working together

How many hurricanes will it take to remove the political divide? When people are suffering together they heal together! Let's just remove the suffering and learn to do unto others as we would like for ourselves and our loved ones!

Can anyone answer a question. With all this hype of going electric vehicles by 2030 or 2035 how does the hurricane's and floods in Carolina and Florida make any sense. The power lines are all down and there is no electricity to power your electric vehicle. So now you are all stuck at home with no power and no way to get around. If the power goes out prior to everyone evacuating how do you leave your city without a vehicle. Am I missing something here. No one seems to want to talk about this on main stream media as its just not part of any conversation or concern. Lets just go green and don't worry about any catastrophic events that will leave you stranded.

$750 for an entire family and only for “the most needy” meaning only people on food stamps and other public assistance. But what about the middle class who live paycheck to paycheck and can’t work, can’t go home, need shelter, and need food? This is wrong and it absolutely is withholding taxpayer funds. My tax dollars should go to all those affected by the storm who live paycheck to paycheck and $750 for an entire family is a joke

Billions of dollars given overseas and a nice 750$ LOAN for hurricane victims... Nice

Please clarify your comment about grants. You said people are getting 750 now and more money down the road. This is the first I’ve heard about “money down the road.” Also it’s hard to apply for grants of your one of the millions without power.

I saw an interview where a hurricane survivor only qualified for $300 out the $750 and we know the $750 is an empty gesture.

Only $750, USA dollars 😢 That is shameless and shameful. Better off living off grid and in your car. $750 paying for gas and your pet food 😮
