States like Florida need to mandate all new homes be of hurricane proof construction. You may think this would be very expensive, but new aircrete construction techniques actually reduces the cost of home construction by an easy 50%. They look like Hobbit homes, but I believe people will love them once they realize how cheap and hurricane proof and fire poof they are. They will need to have water sealants added to their surface because they are not totally water proof, but that is a very easy fix. These homes would also be much cheaper to insure. I believe it would be a great new look for subdivisions.
