Great coverage, I watched the entire stream. At the 14:24 mark you were directly above me. Thanks for the view!

Lifelong Florida resident and my home built in 1950 had no flooding to speak of before idalia which got water in a bedroom and foyer. About 2'. Spent 2 months fixing everything myself and then Helene trashed the place with 4+ feet throughout the home. It's the most disgusting dirty water I've ever seen. The smell will knock you over! Was told it is level three flooding with sewer mixed in. I live very close to Tampa Bay on the fork of a river. I'm not fixing it again as IMO it will just happen again! A fortress home built 12 feet up is needed. These hurricanes aren't going to stop as the weather is much hotter than years ago. Instead of a summertime high of 91 it's 96 or 97. After Helene when I was salvaging things the temp in my truck was consistently 95 or 96 driving around. I rotated 3 shirts during the day! This would have been unheard of years ago at the start of October. IMO it's just starting with these devastating storms. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result!

The storm did a lot more damage than some would have us think. This is devastating.

I would call it the '9/11 effect'. Many of us who remember those days don't have the ability to shocked by disaster like we were before. We're praying for everyone's safe return.

Governor DeSantis has shown little regard for the storm’s impact on voting rights, ” Cecile Scoon and Debbie Chandler, co-presidents of the League of Women Voters of Florida, said on Tuesday. “While issuing mandatory evacuation orders, he has refused to extend the voter registration deadline, disenfranchising many Floridians who were unable to register due to a disaster beyond their control.”

Why did they switch to the weather map when Desantis was talking about Trump? I wanted to hear how Trump has helped.
