Ear ache is a pretty common feature caused by many reasons one of the most common reason is because of infection inside the ear or trying to clean the ear with a bud or putting a finger inside. Some people do compliant of pain the ear because of exposure to extreme colds. In extreme colds when the ear is exposed to such situations, there is reduction of blood flow to the peripheral areas of the skin of the ear, nose and also the canal. You can have in those cases, pain caused by the nerves. Sometimes you can also have a pain in the ear because of associated problems in the nose and throat because of the pressure in the Eustachian tubes. You can also have toothaches, acting in cold temperatures and you can get ear aches. How do you stop it? If you are somebody who has to work in cold areas or to work in cold situations or some people who is sitting in the AC at 18 degrees, can give rise to a ear ache. So in those situation, cover the ear or wear ear mask. So if you are working in cold conditions less than 10 degrees, ambient temperature, I would recommend that you cover your head well, cover the ear as well, cover the neck as well, because the blood flow to the head and neck is going through you neck. So cover your neck well. In olden days the Russians used to wear high collar coats, it is because of the temperature there. So it keeps the neck warm and keeps the blood flow intact, because exposing the blood vessels to cold temperature is not a good idea, and it causes spasms which causes reduction in blood flow. So small things like that will help.
