The number one tip for saving money is to stop caring and worrying what other people think...

We don't buy or use paper towel. We use dishcloths. We also have a basket full of rags. Your videos are always informative. Thank you.

I use masking tape to label food. Its $1.25 a roll at the dollar store, lasts forever and peels off easily!

Great tips! When my husband lost his job we used a lot of these tips and they helped so much. Especially buying food that everyone will eat. Less waste and more value! Also I love that colour on you!

I like the idea of the cardboard grocery lists cut from cereal boxes. I end up finding a crumpled paper in my purse a week later that was one of my grocery lists. I might have to cut my cardboard pieces a little wider, though. As far as thinking if you really need to buy a certain item, a couple of times, I realized I have something at home that will serve the same purpose as the thing I ALMOST bought.

5:46 "If it's stinky, we don't drinky!" 🤣

I definitely agree on the dates thing. If there's no noticeable degradation of quality, why waste it? That said, if it looks/smells funny or its efficacy is reduced (i.e. a leavening agent that doesn't activate), throwing it out is justified.

Great tips! Something I do with my kids’ pants is that when I see that the knee is wearing out, I turn them into shorts. That way we buy pants in the fall that they can wear all winter, then they’ll be ready to turn into shorts for the summer. Win/win. 😊

Always enjoy your tips and ideas! I’m with you when it comes to expiration dates!! I’ll often buy at a deep discount if meat or dairy on sale because they are close to expiration and freeze them for use in recipes at a later date…I’m happy to report I’ve not gotten sick and I’m still alive after consuming😂😂😂 thank you for sharing!!!

Wow I love the snack central idea! Our family will open up a box, eat one item and open another box and before the end of the week you have 7 different snacks opened losing their freshness. You showed a clever and simple idea. I’m definitely doing that

We have been weeding items from our grocery list. Almost nothing I buy is moderately to heavily processed. I use bank envelopes for my grocery lists. Coupons are unnecessary when most of your groceries are fruits and vegetables. I make my own cleaning products. Thats about as processed as it gets (generic Dawn mixed with vinegar, e.g.).

Outdated milk can be used to bake with! Making pancakes, muffins, breads, etc are quick and easy ways to use up sour milk. 🥛

Another tip I’d like to share is based off of tip #1 that I do all the time and it has reduced my grocery bill tremendously! As I’m shopping, if I see a product I like, I say to myself “can I make this?” If the answer is yes (and most of the time it is), then I just buy the raw ingredients to make it. For example, I don’t buy any bread or bread products any more. Instead I buy wheat berries and mill my own flour (I started out buying flour and then graduated to milling my own 😊) and use mostly sourdough but also keep some dry active yeast on hand. I make regular bread, sandwich bread, bagels, crackers, biscuits, etc. same with jams and nut butters (just buy fruit (fresh or frozen) and nuts), gummies, marshmallows, snacks, sauces, gravy, bone broth, yogurt, cheese, and so much more. Same with hygiene and household items. I make bar soap, shampoo, hair rinse, body butter, dish soap, all purpose cleaner, etc. I know it sounds like a lot of work but it really isn’t if you do a little at a time and most of the time it’s the “waiting “ that takes the most. For example when I make yogurt, it takes me maybe 20 mins of active time and 20 hours of just waiting for it to incubate and set which I don’t need to do anything for or when I make bar soap, takes about 30 mins of active time and 4-6 months of curing time. I work a full time job and have been able to do all this too so it’s not impossible. As for the “how to”…. I just do my own research and test different recipes to see which I like best. There is SO much on YouTube, but do your research and use common sense because not all YouTubers put out good material. So just pay attention to the raw materials being used (healthy vs chemicals and toxic) and do your own research.

If I’m buying something online, I Google for coupons before I check out. I, also, look at my grocery store receipt after I get home & make a mental note of what I could’ve done without even if I shopped w/a list. It really helps me on future purchases. Reusable silicone is an excellent idea. Buying prescription eyeglasses online saves me tons of money. Tfs❤️these excellent tips.

I’ve started using bar shampoos and conditioners because I have arthritic hands, and squeezing or shaking the heavy plastic bottles is painful. Yes, they cost more initially (I get mine at CVS when I have a 35-40% coupon), but they last a lot longer, and work well.
