The one point I really live by is knowing when you have enough. I laugh as I walk through a store, see all the great stuff, and then, walk out empty-handed.

This is the most consistent I have been in a long time….I actually have savings ! I have been sticking to my budget and have been no spend for two months and I am gonna continue to low spend. Being more intentional with where my coins go. I have been able to pay off two cards, 2 other accounts by doing the debt snowball. That’s an awesome feeling!!! This month I am staying focused on the budget and tweaking the grocery portion.

Kate, do pay off mortgage ASAP! My husband and I paid off the mortgages on both houses we ever owned, and within 3 months, one if us lost our job. Husband was Enron and it took 3 years to find another job in his field. We were able to avoid losing the house as well as gutting our retirement accounts, because our bills consisted of insurance, property tax, monthly electric, gas and city services were able to be paid out of my 30 hour/ week part-time job. (Our pantry was always over stocked - I grew up food insecure). Paying off the house was the best decision we ever made.

Number four: "Do a happiness audit" was the one that had an impact on me. I love spending time with people who allow me to be me. I feel free around them because they do not judge or put me down. Thanks for sharing!

Hey k squad. I think consistency is my thing. Saving first every time I get paid . I know have a emergency fund, a buffer and some savings. I never thought I could do it. Doing another no spend for march. I’ve got my back. I’ve got options now. It is possible.

I was paycheck to paycheck till the no spend January. I picked up aside hustle and put some money aside for the first time in years! Good thing too! I was able to fill my propane tank ($700), and was able to buy a new (refurbished) phone when mine died, yes to Mint mobile too. And….my car died, $509 fuel pump but now back on the road! Thank you for your example and encouragement! BTW, my happiness index is 10/10!

It would have to be consistency. When I first got my current t mortgage, I couldn’t add much extra to it, but I knew I had to find a way. I started with 25 dollars, then 50, then 100 per month. I’m now in a position to add 400 a month. I did a refinance at 2.25 percent. You can’t imagine how much this thing has gone down. I now owe in my house what many people owe on their
Car!!! Whatever you can put extra, do it!!! Even 5 dollars a month! It’s like a savings account. If you sell the house, you’ll get way more back. If you intend to keep the house, you’ll have far fewer payments in your future, especially as you get older, which is a real concern for most people.❤❤

I have resisted ordering delivery pizza starting January 1st. Instead purchase a frozen pizza...added some chopped olives and extra chese. In addution... I saved not tipping the driver. Feel really good about it.

"Enough" resonated the most for me. I can be a spender but I'm working on delayed gratification in order to reach financial goals.

It's probably consistency for me. For a long time I was flying by the seat of my pants with budget--and getting nowhere. A year ago I made a budget and got real with it. Now I'm rarely blind-sided financially and I'm saving a little while paying off debt. Feels good.

Awesome video. In 2012 I went from working fulltime to being on permanent disability. I am so Blessed in that my mama taught me many years ago to pay my bills first, then live off the rest. For 2024, I am being even more mindful of my spending and making sure I need the things that I buy.

I just finished paying off a huge loan and credit card. Now this is where I have to get with a plan so I don't have to get in debt again. It would be so easy to just go and not pay attention and just spend. And listening to your advice is really going to help. I do have money set aside for the unexpected, but I think that it needs to be more. Thank you for sharing.

Consistency!! I have found as I age, that consistency and perseverance really do pay off! Taking the first step is the hardest but once you get moving, literally and figuratively, you start picking up speed and then become a runaway train! lol! Thanks Kate!! Have a great weekend KSQUAD!!!

Consistently Pays is my big one! Keeping the daily frugal is huge. We’ve used the every dollar app starting this year and it’s eye opening! 2024 is gonna be our debt free year (minus the mortgage)

I think for me deciding what is enough. I struggle with being too tight fisted and worried about money even though I am in a comfortable place now. For me, I have to decide what is enough Savings so I can enjoy my life now.

I'm excited to say I did the no spend January that turned into a no spend February. Watching you helped me set new goals and stay on track. I was doing a lot of spending because it was easy to click a button or shop on amazon. I still put things in my cart and then I wait a week and decided I did not need it. Here is 2 months down and my spending habits have changed so much. Thanks for all of your content and helpful videos. I am so glad I found you and your channel. A big thanks to you and helping me become aware. I appreciate you so much! ❤

Good Morning, I have been doing to 12 week challenge. It has been going well. I plan on starting it up again for the next 12 weeks. I have just about reached my goals. of dropping some weight, and saving some money. I do like consistency and routine. They go hand and hand. You know what to expect. Often times I never know when to say when, is enough. I Hardly ever say NO. I do try to find the happiness every day. Some days can be hard, but I always find a small glimmer of hope in something every day which brings happiness. Love watching your videos. I have been for for a long time now. since your apartment days. Thank you for all you do.

Yes! Consistency works! I’ve been taking 10% off the top of my husband’s take home pay every week since August. I put it in a special “DO NOT TOUCH” savings account. It’s growing slowly but surely!!! This is different from our regular savings account.
