I buy everything I use in my house except food at thrift stores, yard sales or garage sales and everything in my house is paid for and I don't have any credit cards, I drive a 23 year old car and take care of it and my mortgage is almost paid off, I was raised poor and know how to live cheap and I am loving life everyday since I sleep good at night not worrying about my household bills. I consider it a blessing to have been raised by my parents that were always poor and having 12 sisters and brothers so were were taught to work for a living and take care of what we have and live on biscuits and gravy if that's all we had to eat at that time and we did not go to bed hungry and today my favorite meal is still busicuts and gravy. My hat is off to all frugal people living and loving life.

Great advise! In addition, think staying healthy and investing in your health by eating good quality of food like fruits, nuts and vegetables will save you a lot of money from doctors, hospitals and pharmacy and live well. Health is wealth. 😁❤️❤

The problem we have is because Most people always taught that " you only need a good job to become rich " . These billionaires are operating on a whole other playbook that many don't even know exists.

Afterall no one can take anything..only the good you have done..

You must live frugally to truly amass wealth. It's not everything but living within your means is most of everything

I am 77 years old and lived like that all my life ! It is so scary that I never saw this before or heard him talk before but I do and did every thing he said ( not the buying stock ! Never had the nerves to do that ) the only Time I am not frugal is when I give gift to my kids 🤷🏼‍♀️it is so funny I never ever go out to eat ( I am a good cook ) and the only time I buy Burger King ( the only one I like ) is when I have coupon for family deal 😂

#9 As someone who works in a library, a pet peeve of mine is when someone says you "rent" library books. You borrow them, you don't rent them. 🙃

I now grasp the concept of leverage. Creating wealth and financial freedom isn't as tough as many people believe. Building wealth and remaining financially stable indefinitely is a lot easier with the appropriate information. Participating in financial programs and products is the only true approach to make a high income and remain affluent indefinitely.

I want to build wealth and I’ve been trying to learn things like this. Its just so hard with the current economic downturn. My hard earned savings has been eaten up by inflation, we honestly need a divine move at this point to survive .

I think it is funny how rich people recommend libraries but while in power they screw them on money or directly close them. Once I worked as librarian.

No. 7: Buy generic. This one I don’t totally agree with. In some cases I found that it’s better to buy brand names like paper bowls. I bought the generic brand and noticed they’re much thinner and get weak in the microwave where as the name brand stays more rigid. Also, glass cleaner is better to buy brand name because the generic is watered down and you have to use 2 or 3 times more of it to get a window clean so in the long run, the generic brands can cost you more.

I grew up in the 70's. Recession. What people call frugal living I call life. So yeah I'm frugal by habit.

People without a lot of money think more money = more happiness. Most people with money learn simpler can create more happiness. Having 14 houses around the world has to be managed. Do you want to manage houses? You can hire someone else to manage the houses but you still need to manage the manager. Do you want to manage people? It's a freaking job.

I'm 70 and have been frugal all my life, and I never made any apologies for it. My favorite story is when my mother died, my equally frugal father wanted to pay to have all his children flown to his town for the funeral. (My brothers and sisters live all over the country. But I'm the only cheapskate.) So Dad wanted to pay for the plane tickets but despite his grief made sure to say, "Just make sure Roger buys the tickets."
