Ok I don’t know this family but for a judge to threaten a jail type facility to a child begging not to be with father is so messed up! That child had reasons for not wanting to be with father. That judge was wrong!

When that little girls started crying, I about lost it. This judge should be disbarred!!!! That is emotional and verbal abuse amongst other charges she should have received regarding the mother.. Sickening

There is something wrong with a judge threatening to put a child in lockup. Also the judge was so wrong awarding temporary custody to the father when the daughter obviously doesn't want to be around him. I pray that the girl isn't being abused by the father or brainwashed by the mother. Custody cases are so hard to figure out. I believe a full investigation should be done on both parents and the child should receive counseling.

"We're going to have a trial, and you will lose custody." Then what's the point in having a trial if you have a premeditated ruling?!

'How do you know my best interest?'
"Because I'm an adult." I know people who are adults and can't even feed themselves. I don't think that's a good argument, Judge.

This is so upsetting for me because I went thru exactly what she did with me ex. The thing was with my ex, he's an alcoholic & I'm not kidding. By the end of our marriage, he was drinking nearly 6 cases of beer a week by himself. For court ordered visits, he was ordered not consume any alcohol 12 hour prior to his visitation time starting as well as not drinking during the visitation period at all. He drank every single time he had our children & when a motion for contempt was filed for this, the judge dismissed it every time for 7 years. There were times that I was charged in contempt for refusing to let our children go with him because he would show up not only under the influence but had an open container in his hand when he came to the door. I didn't care, if the judge wanted to hold me in contempt of court, I already knew I would file with the state on those charges & I already had back up for me that was willing to withhold visits the same as I had done if my ex was under the influence if I was in jail for contempt during this time. Thankfully both children are done with visits due to their age, but now I deal with the issue of my ex refusing to pay what he's been court ordered to pay for our daughter's college expenses. His excuses, he doesn't agree with her career choice, so he doesn't feel he should have to help pay for any of her expenses. Really? She's getting her Animal Science Degree this year & is going to Veterinary Medicine School next fall. What kind of parent wouldn't be proud of their child going into Veterinary Medicine?

this is EXACTLY what happened to me as a kid except I wasn't threatened and I was 9. My mom and dad were going through custody battles over me. I was brought in and they told both my parents to leave. I BEGGED to live with my mom because my dad was super abusive and had me on high doses of meds, which led to me having an eating disorder.
They didn't listen and sent me home to my dad's home and I could only see my mom every other weekend.

What a horrible judge, and to think she holds the power of this child's life in her hands, no matter what is best for the child. God protect this child from evil!

This judge needs to go. Evidently her power has made her totally unsympathetic toward children. Put her on parking tickets and see what happens there before she is allowed anywhere near family court.

Wow. I have no words for the amount of hatred this woman has in her heart for other women and small girls. I cannot understand how you can be a judge in a custody case that involves children and yet still be so horrendously cruel?

What a sorry excuse for a judge, imagine what she said to that 12 yr old when she told everyone to leave and turned the cameras on. Did that not seem suspicious to anyone?

Did the Judge not consider the reason she doesn't want to see her dad? She seems scared, and she's crying. She's begging not to be placed in his care so she threatens to place her in Child Haven? Why didn't they just do an investigation?

Literally the father I genuinely do not understand wanting your daughter to be crying and having a judge threaten her. Genuinely not a good way to bond with your child. She’s going to remember her dad literally sat there as a judge threatened to put her in JAIL because she wanted to live with her mother as she sobbed. Truly there are lengths you won’t go to to force a relationship between you and your children. Not a strong father figure at all. Actually it’s pathetic.
