I went to that construction site again yesterday, there was one construction worker, but he was not working on the street, he just removed the growing bushes 😆

"You know something is wrong when tall weeds are growing in a broken-up road."
I love the video, it's so relatable. Greetings from The Netherlands

I went to work as a programmer in Japan and I use a bike a to commute. I would only ever see road renovations at night and the next morning, they've finished it. I would also pass by a building on the way to work. I temporarily went back to my home country for a 2-week vacation and when I went back to Japan, I was surprised the building had been torn down and a large lot stood in place. And 1 more week after that, a new grocery mart opened up at the back of the lot. These are only a few. There were many many more surprise constructions I've witnessed through my daily bike commute, like a literal 2-story house built in a week or a kindergarten suddenly popping out of nowhere.

Here in the United States, there's a section of I-40 that's been under construction for the past 25 years. In the last 4 years, I have seen exactly zero noticeable change.

My girlfriend was born while there was a construction work going on in a bridge next to her house. When I met her, she was 20 years old. The construction was still there

Here in the Philippines, they fix the road even when there's nothing wrong with the road😅

I'm from Germany, and went to prague for vacation. There, they put tram rails into the road, and added new pipes. I was there for 3 days and in that time they finished about 15 meters of the road- completely finished from just a hole to all the rails, pipes and bricks in. Meanwhile in Germany, you can be happy to even see a construction worker. Mostly, you will only see the equipment standing around... On the highway, there are construction sites like every 5 kilometers. And noone works there, i see them every year, and every year the same pile of sand is still there, just with a bit more plants growing on it than last year.

I also live in a city in Germany.
We also had a road closure on our street. Nothing happened for a month. Parking spaces are rare here in the city. After a month, the neighbors had enough and moved all the signs and barriers to the side. After 3 days, the city must have noticed and they collected the signs and barriers. After 6 months, they closed everything off again, but this time work was done and after a week everything was finished.

Oh funny Thing is that here in Cozumel, open the street to chage the Water pipes which were huge let me tell you in two months they did more than 310 kilometers as if nothing and did not obstruct traffic!✨

In India they renew a Bridge with 100 workers in 2 days. In Germany they need 50 engineer an 6 month to plan where they put the barrier. I have traffic jam for 2 years now on highway and for 1 year nothing happens but they blocked the road from the first day. The lack of personal and a lot of laws makes everything slow and difficult.
