Basically most Europeans and almost all Asians take their shoes off when going inside. Its just Americans not doing it

Bruh as an Asian, this is just typical life for us. If we wear shoes inside the house, those shoes will be used against us in a certain way.

While in asia, its totally normal to not wear any shoes inside the house lol. if youre a visitor, its only polite to take them off unless insisted by the host that its okay to keep them on.

I can't believe my eyes. My parents had exactly the same "guest socks" in a Siberian village, even the same color and likely the material, only they were not just for guests.
