Absolutely 💯 Mark I lost 33lbs in 3 mos. Eating protein every 3 hrs. Lots of veggies and smoothies. Low low sugar and low carbs. TY For all your info and passion!!!

Regenerative fish is new info! Thank you for your generosity in educating and guiding us!! For 5 years my diet has been: grassfed/free range meats & eggs, A2 dairy (a recent change), wild caught fish, organic vegetables, coffee, tea, low, low starches, no wheat; 2 liters organic green tea daily, matcha, cocoa, organic nuts, seeds, nut butter. People comment on that skin and hair looking so healthy.

Thank you for all your great info! At 67 years old, I was having trouble building muscle with resistance training. After a year of aiming for 100 grams of protein/day (I’m 5’2”, 108#), I am finally seeing gains in my muscle mass! I aim for at least 30 gms of protein in the first meal. 😊💪🏻

I eat protein in my first meal of the day to the last and I feel great!! I adopted the Mediterranean diet for me and my daughter and husband, organic as much I can and exercise of course . You inspire us and guide us

I’m an old retired scientist (octogenarian). I found that eating patterns of millions of years of evolution works best. I hunt (exercise) before I eat. Then I eat what I was able to store like nuts. Off to the berries bushes. Now spend time hunting meats fish, etc. for family and me. Eat meats in afternoon. Work on tools. Sleep. Repeat.

Agree 100%. I also do 1g/lb. I am always baffled when women especially tell me they are eating the RDA 50g/day!!! Protien is so important especially in us menopausal females. Protien+muscle=longevity. ❤

🌼 recently, all of my protein levels dropped below normal, as did my hemoglobin and I knew that I did not have a health issue, but I was barely eating .. adding protein drinks, focusing on protein, increasing my liquids because we need more liquids when we add protein, really helped, in about 3 to 4 weeks all my levels were normal and my hemoglobin went up to 12.1, which is the highest it had been since I've been on life support .. 🌹 Dr Hyman, when I eat, I feel incredibly different, almost instantaneously, in my brain, and my body, so alive and when I don't eat, I don't have an appetite, I don't think about eating, even if I set my alarm, food is just the last thing on my mind .. so what you're saying about protein is very important, I see it in my own life and in my own health .. I try to keep my protein at 80 g daily and most people tell me that's too much but, according to your theory, it's probably half as much as I should have . 🌹 Remember folks, as you increase protein, you have to increase your water .. Thank you for your sage advice .. I've been doing intermittent fasting for several years, my eating window is generally 4 to 6 hours, but regardless of what people's hours are, it is incredibly helpful for health and illness. 🌹☕

Dr Hyman can you please give a reference to the research which supports your claim that one should eat such high amount of protein? Isn’t there research which shows high amount of animal protein is not good for kidneys?

It would be great to have some tips for those of us who are low income. Over here in the UK, it's near impossible and extortionate to get meat that isn't industrial. All of your info talks about grass fed and pasture raised, but should we just avoid meat full stop if we cannot get that?

I always have to think about my protein grams each day, keeps me on track. So far today I have had one egg, some chicken, small plain yogurt with blueberries, glass of milk. I might put some cottage cheese in my soup later.
