Walk downhill without dreading it ✅

If you experience knee pain when going downhill- this trick can be very helpful 🙌🏼

Walking downhill can be challenging due to the degree of strength and control it requires ☝🏽

Walking down in zig zags helps to reduce the stress required from the knee and doesn’t require the same degree of strength as going straight downhill ✅

Think of it like skiing ⛷️

It can be easier to gain more control when you are weaving down the mountain. When going straight downhill, speed can be much harder to control. (I’m surely not sending it down the mountain 😅)

Keep this in your back pocket when you find yourself approaching a hill that you have to go down ✅

This is a great technique for some trails especially loose gravel like this. Thank you. Looking forward to more tips for walking down hill especially bouldering type stairs. I love hiking on trails like that but I am so slow because side step down to take pressure off my knees. The trails are not wide enough to zig zag. Thanks for your great content.

For ease in chugging along - Have noticed how so many zigzag paths are intentionally designed in hilliest NY and PA Appalachia.
