Maybe because of its diversity and there are a lot of things travellers would want to see and experience. London has always been number one when ranking the best cities in the world and that is why there’s no surprise why people from different places and countries would want to come and experience what it’s like to be in the greatest city on the planet.

London has the most multicultural city in the world, might be one of the reasons why a lot of tourists love visiting London. And although London is a big city, you won’t have a hard time getting around because of their efficient public transportation. You might be wondering what it’s like to live in this city, but a lot of people who have tried living in London shared some reasons why it is not a good idea living there so you might want to reconsider your plan in moving to London. I live in London, and I can tell, it's horrible and depressing living here - I feel I am wasting my life. The people that say London, or the UK as a matter of fact, is nice or are lying or never lived somewhere else

I lived in London for 16 years. At 45, after spending 6 months in my home country because of family reasons, I now do not want to go back. It's possibly the worst place I know on planet earth, and I have seen a lot of world in my life. It also changed dramatically in the last 10 years and even more after Brexit, it's a depression factory, hence the alcohol and substance abuse by many, many of its residents. Shallow relationships happening mainly because of convenience or career, very low mental health level in most people, terrible food, overpriced goods, people behaving like animals at weekends. Listen to Stephen Sondheim's "There's no place like London" from Sweeney Todd...it is true. The history and culture are there to watch, but unfortunately, they are history.

Londoners, in general, just like to mind their bidniz.

Sure, we'll all stop and watch a commotion happening on the street or public transport (nothing out of the ordinary tbh), but Londoners, other than cabbies and cockneys, just go about their day to day pretending nothings happening until pub hour arrives.

I was raised in the 90s which was probably the last times London felt a sense of community, the village/estate help raise your kids if parents were at work, you knew All of your neighbors and their kids, you knew kids from the estate down the road or 20mins away, youth club's, kids could Actually go outside freely without fear of being robbed, kidnapped or assaulted.

Now, you'd be lucky to know the name of your nextdoor neighbors.
Hell, even the bus drivers back then were a constant, so you'd know their names and they'd know yours.
There's only friendly banter with your local off license shop because they see you the most 😔

Notting Hill Gate Portabella Road to Kensington and Chelsea, Westminster, Hammersmith & Fulham Boroughs ONLY. Oxford Circus, Knightsbridge, Piccadilly, Westfield Shepherd's Bush White City area ONLY. Stay away from East London (visit Shordage YES) stay away from North London and Definitely stay away from South London peckham Brixton. Avoid the Stabbings and Gun Violence stay in areas which has a heavy Met Police presense eg. West London

It depends of what people like, what they do for work, etc but London is my favourite city, miami is cool but if you like the beach but thats it .. London has history, great architecture, old architecture and modern .. about the weather is not true .. London is not always cold and it doesn't rain as much as people say but is is true that is grey but there are days of sunshine, people well there are people from everywhere, locals, etc .Saying that people in london don't talk to anymore is not 100% true I have made planty of friends in london and there are many ways to meet up people but if you are shy then it can be crap for you anywhere ... the only problem with London is the rent, if you want to buy a property it is expensive but is well located and there are nice cities and areas around, Spain, Portugal, Greece is down the corner if you wanna take a holiday to get sun or the get a holiday property, etc London is great .. is like any other major city it have good things and bad things but also night life is good there are many different types of bars and still keep some old good music not like some places where all you can hear is chiwawa regueaton music in clubs ... London is London but ofcourse is having problems .

London is a great place comparing to new York and other places, the weather is not so bad and it doesn't rain that much . London might not be for you if you like only sunshine.

Every city has its dark side. The issue is how much is willing to tolerate. Crime, filth and discrimination will exist everywhere there are people. Even so, everyone will have their balance and weigh the quality of life they want or can have.
