Everything you showed and said was on point. When i started working out, oh my gosh, i was so weak, I'd pant doing chores, but now, it feels so freaking good to be able to do all these things without losing my breath!!!

my reason to work out is to feel more safe, as i have always had anxiety about being too weak to defend myself physically. the stairs part is also a bonus haha!

Honestly tho this is so true. It's ok to want to like how you look and work out for that reason but it's also important to have the ability to run away if your in danger and have the strength of you need to defend yourself

I started going to pilates classes because I would literally get up from the couch and I would hear cracking sounds. I was 21 and I felt like I was 90. After working out, my back stopped hurting, I felt like I had more strength overall, more stamina, and I started feeling more healthy.

I just want to be healthy and happy. I hate all sports and working out, but I try to do what I actually enjoy - roller skating and walks 🙂 I want to start working out though

I’ve stopped the mentality of working out just to lose weight. My family has history of asthma, heart disease, heart attacks, and diabetes and they didn’t do anything to maintain their health until they got way older and their health is maintained now, but slightly harder now. Depression and anxiety also run in my family and I have both. When I moved from California to Michigan, I experienced horrible seasonal depression in the winter and working out always helped too. I’ve recently just got back into doing it and it’s helped me quite a lot, especially with my allergies inducing my asthma. I’m doing it for a stronger heart and lungs, healthier body, and healthier mind. If I lose fat and gain muscle in the process then it’s a plus! But if I make that my primary focus, I will only end up being unkind to myself and not do it.
