I’m a 3rd grade teacher and I try to apply so many tips I’ve learned from Dr. Huberman

And my teachers used to get mad at me if I took 10 seconds to daydream

I do this naturally as I’m usually amazed at something I just read!

I knew it! You'll learn at a slower pace but whatever little you've learned will stick in your brain forever.

I heard a lecture by a neuroscientist that also mentioned that taking study breaks doing mindless activities like walking through the park (and not using a gadget), or a small nap helps to remember the material better.

Huh, I do that a lot while learning on my personal time because I like to think through what I learn and how it applies to what I already know

I used to do this automatically. My head would just start to feel overwhelmed after several minutes, so I just stared into space for some time. Is that why learning in the school was so easy? hm, I thought it was because was smart :(
