This was incredibly helpful! It keeps coming out how incredibly important Magnesium is, but so overwhelming with all of the types. I have Hashimotos and have just heard Mg Glycinate is the one to take, but I’m doing more research. Also read Mg is important for vitamin D absorption but just getting into knowing more about all of this. So much info out there but you really break it down well…

You peaked my interest in the last form of magnesium. Haven't heard of that one but agree the blends are best.😊

I got my aunt who is 73 and recently diagnosed with MS, on the Magnesium L-Threonate. She’s on her 2nd bottle and says she is far more alert and forgets less things, and doesn’t know what she would have done otherwise.

I take Mg citrate because I heard it helps with vitamin D absorption. I accidentally bought a bottle of Mg oxide but I take that in the evening for better sleep.

I take magnesium malate for inflammation. However Magnesium glycinate helps one sleep better and the glycinate in the formular promotes gut health. I use magnesium chloride spray for sore muscles and migraine caused by poor posture. The spray works so much better than pain killers. I work with children with autism and ADHA, they usually very low on magnesium levels, which subsequently affects their sleep patterns.

All that is good info but what are the good brands and that really work? I need an answer to that! Thanks

I take L theronate, , citrate to bind to oxlates, mg malate, and a magnesium in an electrolyte form, a total of 700 mg over above my food. Bisglycinate is bad for coverting to oxalate in the metabolism of it. I get kidney stones from oxalates in food so I have to careful what I take. I started all this very gradually and have no bad side effects.
