An oversight was identified on the drug interaction slide, where the names of quinolone antibiotics were inadvertently misspelled. The corrected names are as follows: ciprofloxacin, levofloxacin, moxifloxacin, and ofloxacin. Shout out to @MadameCasper for kindly bringing this to my attention!

Had epilepsy for many many years. Then started supplementing large dosages of magnesium combined with sodium, while removing casein protein from my diet. Suddenly it was gone...
Anti-epileptics never worked. So I was really blessed to have found these alternatives.

I'm a road cyclist. I started to experience cramps, fasiculations, and some palpitations after increasing my training load in the summer. I'm also a renal physiologist (now) and neurophysiologist (formerly). Magnesium glycinate has solved the issue. So it is interesting to me that you experienced similar issues after resuming running. Divalent cations have ridiculously complicated effects on excitable cells since they bind to so many things on the cell surface as well as inside cells. But it's been known since the 1950s that Mg2+ tends to stabilize resting membrane electrical properties in nerve and muscle, even in simple systems like squid axons. I know that because I published a paper on the same general type of observation in vertebrate neurons in around 1993, by which time nobody really cared As far as I know, that paper had only been cited once in the intervening three decades 😂. I had practically forgotten it myself, but it is what made me consider that a magnesium supplement was worth trying.

Your review contained a lot of crucial information that other Youtube channels covering Mg missed out. Well done and thanks!

I just stumbled on your site. I'm happy to follow you. You're very knowledgeable, you explain in layman's terms what happens inside the body and you give the good and bad effects of medications plus recommendations of the best brands. I'm so impressed that I'd use you as my primary doctor -- and that's something i don't say to many. I'm looking forward to more of your videos. Thank you for helping all of us, out here in the void.

Thank you so much. This information is important -- I'm a 78 yo disabled senior whose magnesium levels are usually low. Back to taking my MG supplements. Great program.

Magnesium absolutely changed my life.
It's the only supplement I've taken that I actually felt. Wish I had known about it as a teen.

Great video, thank you!! I have RLS, and have suffered with it my whole life (I'm mid 50's now), but horribly keeping me from falling asleep, and waking me up all night for the last 20 years. I read that Mg can help, but I was using the wrong form. A friend recently told me that her Dr. recommended Glycinate, so I switched, and man! I'm averaging 7-8 hours of sleep after taking it for about 3 weeks now! Not one Dr I have ever seen about this has even mentioned Mg., let alone Glycinate. I tried to research, and ultimately purchased Pure Encapsulations, and I'm so glad to see that it made your list of a great option! I feel like a human again!

My use of Magnesium Theronate has seemed to help me with my memory... which really is needed in my job, I am 63. It has really helped my 87 yr. old mother with her ability to interact and lessen her depression, maybe decision making as well.

Thank you for such a detailed and quality guide!

I’ve probably watched 15+ videos about Magnesium supplements, mostly learning about different types, and you are the first to explain what Chelated and Elemental mean. Those seem like pretty important pieces of information since non-chelated could mean that the supplement contains forms that you are trying to avoid. I’m kind of baffled that the others didn’t mention that.
