The problem was when you unscrewed the orange part that holds the read/write heads. The heads are magentic so if you remove that part they will disallign because they will attract eachother. and if they are misaligned they can't read the disk or they can also damage the disk.

Hello thanks for the great video I have the exact same issue but do not have the original PCB anymore with the Bios. Is there a work around? Thanks!

swapping both the PCB and the Platter may result in better outcome since the Firmware is part of the Board. probably the read heads were what got damaged in the first place.

Platter alignment is the most difficult and sensitive part of the process. Be mindful if your drive has multiple platters, they must retain proper alignment.

Drive is clicking because it does not able to load its firmware, you probably killed the reading heads + damaged the drive platters when transferred

Thanks for the video. I have to be very careful if I attempt this myself.

Hi, I have got a question. If I replace the head, do I still need PC3000 to recover my data or I can clone my HDD using with SuperHDDClone??

Anything exposing and touching the platter needs to be in a dustb free environment and specific tools once your finger touches it its damaged

I was hoping for a happy ending - that is a shame, but thank you for attempting it. Maybe try put the disc on backwards to see if we get some demonic data 👹

@AventuraRemoteSmart Your videos shows exaxtly what you should NOT DO if you care abouy data... You can't simply romove the lid outside... It must be done in glovebox with installed HEPa filter and air inlet to avoid dust accumulation... Once single micron of dust particle and bye bye data...
