It's been confirmed I was actually born with both a deviated and perforated septum. I had a septoplasty in January that did straighten my septum, but the perforation came back because there wasn't enough cartilage left to close the hole. I knew there was a 50% chance going in that I would require a second surgery, but I'm very ready, I've had lifelong nose issues and the second procedure should fix me for good!
