i asked my doctor and he took such a quik look then said "yes you have a deviated septum" that i thought maybe he was wrong but yes the middle divider is all kinds of crooked.

Went to an ENT for post nasal drip issues and he told me my septum was “almost too straight .” This struck me as odd but after some research I found that the septum is supposed to have some curvature and I guess mine is basically a board. Not sure if that is a good thing or not.

oh i actually got my nose checked bc i keep sneezing when its cold or dusty, and generally its kinda hard for me to breath. and the doctor said my nasal septum is crooked 😂 my mom being the asian she is said "no need surgery lah, drink jamu and hot tea you'll get better. u always drink cold wated no wonder cant breath", so i never got it corrected until now lol

I was stupid and pushed my nose because I saw a picture of myself from a few years ago where my nose had a nice curve, now I have facial dysmorphia and hate the shape of my nose. I have a large nose tip and a bump on my nose, which to me making the mistake of pushing it down hard. I can't really breathe on one side of my nose. I just wish that my nose looked like how it did before. I'm just too young to get a surgery done.

When my son was 4 years old i noticed a hump on the side of his nose, took him to dr kenneth silk in louisville ky he was dx with deviated septum and dr said he may outgrow it, now at 23 yrs old we prob lookin at surgery after constant drainage issues, throat infections, and enlarged tonsils which can be caused by deviated seprum.

You forgot to mention the test of sticking your finger up your nose and feeling. In my left nostril I can feel a massive cavity, in my right nostril there is a bulge of tissue corresponding to where the cavity is. Jam your fingers up there people and have a feel around.

Hit my nose on the left side two weeks ago and my nose is still sensitive and I’m having issues getting normal amounts of airflow through it, when I pull the skin next to my left nostril breathing feels better, should I get that checked out?

Deviated septum Has been a big insecurity For Me, i dont remember Me having it younger so i feel like something happend??? One of my nostrils is so much bigger than the other and i can Breath better from one nostril then the other. Sometimes one of my nostrils gets completely blocked and then the other one is completely Fine. I found out that when i touchy my nose from one side i can clearly feel a bone at the end which keeps Me from bending my nose but the other side doesnt have It at the end which why i can bend my nose completely from one side to the other. Anyways im going to tell my mother about it and see what she says.

Years of cocaine use in my youth led me here. I’ve been clean for years but I think a deviated septum is the cause of my cluster headaches. God I was an idiot. Now I have so much sinus pressure I can’t stand it.
